This is no ordinary fan — obviously. In fact, did you even realize that it IS a fan?

This is the new Dyson Air Multiplier Table Fan, and while you’ll definitely have to pay a good amount for this revolutionary technology, there are some very valid reasons why you should give it some consideration when making your next fan purchase:

  • Notice there are NO blades — The Dyson Air Multiplier technology does not require blades to generate a steady stream of air. We don’t use traditional fans around our children because of the dangerous, fast-spinning blades. When I was younger, I leaned back over one of those old fans with the metal blades. It immediately sucked my long hair up in it, pulling out a good section of it, so while I learned the hard way, we’ve chosen not to expose our children to them at all.
  • It’s super easy to clean — After a few days of use, traditional fan blades and the fan casing become caked with dust, fibers, and pollen. Getting them clean is a major ordeal, but with the Air Multiplier, you can just easily wipe it clean with a damp cloth. This is especially important for households with allergy sufferers.
  • It uses a dimmer switch — Traditional fans usually only have 3-4 speed settings, but the Dyson Air Multiplier allows you to set your own perfect amount of air flow by turning a dial.
  • You can easily tilt it with the touch-tilt feature — Box fans don’t tilt at all, and directional fans can become loose over time, making adjusting them difficult. The Dyson Air Multiplier has a touch-tilt feature that makes directing the air flow simple and easy.

I know some of you that use a fan at night to help you sleep are probably wondering if it’s silent. Well, it’s definitely quieter than a traditional fan, but it still provides a good amount of white noise that will help put you drift off to sleep.

We’ve been thoroughly happy with our Dyson Air Multiplier Fan. Besides being very futuristic-looking and a great conversation starter, it does a great job cooling off a room in a safe manner that’s very important to this mom of five.

    I’m a fan on FB and RSS. I would put this fan in my toddler’s room. He put his finger in a fan blade one time. Thankfully I caught him before he got hurt BUT he is fascinated. This would be a worry free option to keep his room cool. I hope I win! :)

    I would use that fan all over my house, lol! I want one of those SOOO bad. We were just looking at them last night at a store near us, but they’re so expensive! It would be great to win! :)

    This fan would look fantastic in my office at work….I’m always hot and my co-workers are always cold.

    I am an elementary school teacher in Florida. We are not allowed to change our air conditioner settings so sometimes in could be like the arctic, but other times as hot as the Florida heat. They also turn off the air in the evenings and the weekends so if we want to do something extra, we have to bring fans or we will die of heat stroke. This fan is amazing because it’s easy to clean, easy to move around and no blades so less chance of injury. If I had the opportunity to win this, because I cannot really afford one, I would definitely use the fan in my classroom when needed. Thanks! :)

    We need another fan for my daughter’s room , she could not sleep last night and this would be extremely safe.

    I would use it in the kitchen. It gets so hot and humid in the summer that the heat just sucks the motivation to slave over a hot stove right out of me.

    I would put this in our main room during the day and the baby’s room at night. It really heats up in there and the 2 fans I have just aren’t cutting it!

    I would probably put it in one of the kids rooms (up high, just in case). They don’t have ceiling fans like most of the rest of the house. Of course, then the kids would want one in the other bedroom too and I certainly can’t afford to buy one! Maybe I should just smuggle it out of the house and use it at work :)
