Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

This is no ordinary fan — obviously. In fact, did you even realize that it IS a fan?
This is the new Dyson Air Multiplier Table Fan, and while you’ll definitely have to pay a good amount for this revolutionary technology, there are some very valid reasons why you should give it some consideration when making your next fan purchase:
- Notice there are NO blades — The Dyson Air Multiplier technology does not require blades to generate a steady stream of air. We don’t use traditional fans around our children because of the dangerous, fast-spinning blades. When I was younger, I leaned back over one of those old fans with the metal blades. It immediately sucked my long hair up in it, pulling out a good section of it, so while I learned the hard way, we’ve chosen not to expose our children to them at all.
- It’s super easy to clean — After a few days of use, traditional fan blades and the fan casing become caked with dust, fibers, and pollen. Getting them clean is a major ordeal, but with the Air Multiplier, you can just easily wipe it clean with a damp cloth. This is especially important for households with allergy sufferers.
- It uses a dimmer switch — Traditional fans usually only have 3-4 speed settings, but the Dyson Air Multiplier allows you to set your own perfect amount of air flow by turning a dial.
- You can easily tilt it with the touch-tilt feature — Box fans don’t tilt at all, and directional fans can become loose over time, making adjusting them difficult. The Dyson Air Multiplier has a touch-tilt feature that makes directing the air flow simple and easy.
I know some of you that use a fan at night to help you sleep are probably wondering if it’s silent. Well, it’s definitely quieter than a traditional fan, but it still provides a good amount of white noise that will help put you drift off to sleep.
We’ve been thoroughly happy with our Dyson Air Multiplier Fan. Besides being very futuristic-looking and a great conversation starter, it does a great job cooling off a room in a safe manner that’s very important to this mom of five.

I work for a Skilled Nursing Facility and we have to keep the nursing home warm for the residents. My office does not have any windows, so it is constantly about 80 to 85 degrees….and hotter on hot days. We were in the 90s outside last week and it was unbearable in my office! I really could use a good fan in my office! :)

Ooohh- cool idea. I would love one for my daughter’s room, she is 18 months old and I am afraid to have a fan in her room because of safety issues, but also dont like to leave the windows open. Thanks! Nicole

Definitely use it by setting it on a dresser in the bedroom, and then would move it to the office area as needed during the daytime hours.

I literally lol’d when I saw this post. I LOVE this fan. Love isn’t even strong enough. But just yesterday 2 coworkers and I took a lunchtime “field trip” to Bed, Bath & Beyond to get fans for our stuffy office cubicles. As we were ooh-ing and aah-ing over this fan (and its $300 price tag) my friend was joking about how the description on the box makes it sound as if the “chopping and buffeting” of the air has been a huge problem. “Air has rights too! Save the air! No more chopping!!!” :) haha.

i would put this in my 21 month old daughter’s room. hers is the only bedroom in the house without a ceiling fan, but i’ve been hesitant to put a fan in there because of how prone to mischief she is : )
Carolyn
I’ve had my eye on this fan for a while now…hope I win!

I just saw a commercial for this fan and thought it was uber cool! Oh, man, I’d love to win it so I can put it in our guest room. We have ceiling fans in every other room in our house but we have a house guest who is staying for the Summer and he is probably sweating it out everynight but not saying anything since he’s so nice! Sorry for the run on sentence, lol. I’m excited! :D

What a nifty fan! I have the perfect spot in my little galley kitchen which is so unbearably hot recently. Thid Dyson would cool me down while I’m constructing my newest recipes.
Janette
The fan would go in the kitchen to cool me as I slave away cooking for my fam!
