Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

This is no ordinary fan — obviously. In fact, did you even realize that it IS a fan?
This is the new Dyson Air Multiplier Table Fan, and while you’ll definitely have to pay a good amount for this revolutionary technology, there are some very valid reasons why you should give it some consideration when making your next fan purchase:
- Notice there are NO blades — The Dyson Air Multiplier technology does not require blades to generate a steady stream of air. We don’t use traditional fans around our children because of the dangerous, fast-spinning blades. When I was younger, I leaned back over one of those old fans with the metal blades. It immediately sucked my long hair up in it, pulling out a good section of it, so while I learned the hard way, we’ve chosen not to expose our children to them at all.
- It’s super easy to clean — After a few days of use, traditional fan blades and the fan casing become caked with dust, fibers, and pollen. Getting them clean is a major ordeal, but with the Air Multiplier, you can just easily wipe it clean with a damp cloth. This is especially important for households with allergy sufferers.
- It uses a dimmer switch — Traditional fans usually only have 3-4 speed settings, but the Dyson Air Multiplier allows you to set your own perfect amount of air flow by turning a dial.
- You can easily tilt it with the touch-tilt feature — Box fans don’t tilt at all, and directional fans can become loose over time, making adjusting them difficult. The Dyson Air Multiplier has a touch-tilt feature that makes directing the air flow simple and easy.
I know some of you that use a fan at night to help you sleep are probably wondering if it’s silent. Well, it’s definitely quieter than a traditional fan, but it still provides a good amount of white noise that will help put you drift off to sleep.
We’ve been thoroughly happy with our Dyson Air Multiplier Fan. Besides being very futuristic-looking and a great conversation starter, it does a great job cooling off a room in a safe manner that’s very important to this mom of five.

I’d put this fan in my son’s room close to his bed. His room gets terribly hot at night and I’m so afraid of traditional fans.

I would absolutely LOVE it for my desk at work. I worked in the same building for 22 years and our office moved in a new building last year and it is so HOT in my office.
Terrae
I don’t have A/C so I would probably move it all around my house depending on where I am.

I just got an at home job and would love this for my desk!
Christy
I would put it in our bedroom, we have no air conditioner, and we have 1 fan and it is in my daughter’s room.

Wow, what a great giveaway. I would put it in our spare bedroom that currently has no ceiling fan. The cat sleeps in there a lot and could use some circulation.
melissa
It would go in the Living room. I don’t have a ceiling fan in there.

I would use it outside on our patio.

I live on the third floor of an apt building. I would put this fan in my kitchen that is open to the livingroom. It would help circulate the air through out the house reducing the need to run the AC all the time. Hate paying high electric bills just to stay cool!

Rhonda
I would give it to my 3yr old grand daughter.

I would put this in our kitchen. With all the cooking adn baking we do, it can get pretty toasty in there!

I would put it in my son’s room, it can get so hot at night here and even during the day when he is playing in there. Now I don’t have to worry about blades!
Marcy
I would use it on the computer desk where my son likes to play, cause it gets hot in that room, and with no blades it makes it super safe to use around him. If not there, then in the kitchen….no blades to get dust and grease mixture to clean off!
Jessie
I would love to put this by my desk, which is parked in our walk-up attic space. It collects all the heat from the house and we fry up there!
jessie
I would use it on my vanity so I can keep cool while blow drying my hair every morning
Sonya
I would put it in the kitchen for sure!
Jenn in AZ
I would put it on my desk. When I have a lot of guests over in the summer, I would probably move it to the living room to cool things off a bit, too!
Amy W.
I would put the fan on my nightstand to help cool the bedroom at night.
Wendy
I would probably move this back and forth between bedroom and kitchen. Every time I see a picture of this fan, I start wondering how the HECK it works – I wish one of the stores near me would get some in stock so I could get a good look at it. (Curious as a cat!)
