Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

This is no ordinary fan — obviously. In fact, did you even realize that it IS a fan?
This is the new Dyson Air Multiplier Table Fan, and while you’ll definitely have to pay a good amount for this revolutionary technology, there are some very valid reasons why you should give it some consideration when making your next fan purchase:
- Notice there are NO blades — The Dyson Air Multiplier technology does not require blades to generate a steady stream of air. We don’t use traditional fans around our children because of the dangerous, fast-spinning blades. When I was younger, I leaned back over one of those old fans with the metal blades. It immediately sucked my long hair up in it, pulling out a good section of it, so while I learned the hard way, we’ve chosen not to expose our children to them at all.
- It’s super easy to clean — After a few days of use, traditional fan blades and the fan casing become caked with dust, fibers, and pollen. Getting them clean is a major ordeal, but with the Air Multiplier, you can just easily wipe it clean with a damp cloth. This is especially important for households with allergy sufferers.
- It uses a dimmer switch — Traditional fans usually only have 3-4 speed settings, but the Dyson Air Multiplier allows you to set your own perfect amount of air flow by turning a dial.
- You can easily tilt it with the touch-tilt feature — Box fans don’t tilt at all, and directional fans can become loose over time, making adjusting them difficult. The Dyson Air Multiplier has a touch-tilt feature that makes directing the air flow simple and easy.
I know some of you that use a fan at night to help you sleep are probably wondering if it’s silent. Well, it’s definitely quieter than a traditional fan, but it still provides a good amount of white noise that will help put you drift off to sleep.
We’ve been thoroughly happy with our Dyson Air Multiplier Fan. Besides being very futuristic-looking and a great conversation starter, it does a great job cooling off a room in a safe manner that’s very important to this mom of five.

I’d LOVE to win one of these to put in my toddler’s bedroom. He can’t have a regular fan in his room, because he just HAS to touch it! LOL My husband is sort of astounded by this fan. He gave it a thorough examination when we stopped in Sears over the weekend, and still isn’t sure exactly how it works =)

On my desk at work.

Definitely the bathroom to cool down the room and me after a hot shower!
Joyce
My daughters suffer from allergies so this would be awesome in a house with nothing but traditional fans blowing junk all over them. I would put it on their nightstand
Melissa
I work from home, so I can stay home with the new bambino! We spend a lot of our time in the Porch Room where my desk is setup……would love anything to help move the AC around the room.

Would love this for my husband’s nightstand!!!! He burns up at night, while I am always cold. Also, the no blades and dust makes this a sweet deal!

I’d love to put this on my desk at work … it would be perfectly discreet!
Amy
I’d either keep in downstairs in the family room or in a kid’s room.
Joyce
This would also be perfect on the desk in my girls’ room when they are doing homework.
Heather
I saw one of these the other day–they are amazing! I would put mine in my bedroom:))
Jennifer
I would like to put it in whatever room I am in. My kitchen while cooking so I can draw my family to the table by tickling their noses with the aroma of good food. In my room while I am sleeping or in the guestroom when I have company. Of course, this is all if my son doesn’t take it to put in his room while he is sleeping. =)

I would use it in my classroom since it will still be 115 when we go back in two weeks!
Erica
I would put it near my husband’s side of the bed. He’s always burning up and I’m always freezing!

I’d make it mobile and move it room to room – afternoons the living room/kitchen, night time – the bedroom. When it’s +110 for weeks on end, you’ll take cool air wherever you can get it!

i would put this in my bedroom, our fan is so loud.
Danelle
I would put it right here on the desk with my computer. My office gets the afternoon sun; combine that with the heat from the computer & it gets hot in here! It’d be great to cool down without having to drag out my big box fan.
