Win-It Wednesday: ALL YOU Eat Well, Save Big Cookbook (7 Winners!)

January 20, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting several 24-hour giveaways throughout the day to give you plenty of chances to win!

All You Eat Well, Save Big Cookbook

I’m a foodie at heart, so I love trying out new recipes. When I heard that All You, my absolute fave magazine, was publishing a cookbook, I jumped at the chance to review it. All You Eat Well, Save Big is filled with over 140 meals under $2.50 per serving, this is a fantastic resource for those of us trying to live within a budget. These recipes don’t skimp on meat, and are full of flavor.

I love the fact that the recipes have a reasonable number of ingredients. My eyes just glaze over when I see those ingredients lists that are ten miles long. And I also enjoyed the Smart Tips that are shared throughout the book, giving advice on choosing the perfect pot, quick and easy side dishes, how to pick the perfect produce, and much more.

Of course, what publication from All You would be complete without coupons? The following coupons are included in the back:

  • $1/2 Jack Daniel’s Barbecue Sauce or EZ Marinader, exp. 12-31-10
  • $1/1 Lea & Perrins Thick Classic Worcestershire Sauce, exp. 12-31-10
  • $1/1 Marzetti Salad Dressing, exp. 12-31-10
  • $1/1 Reames Egg Noodles, exp. 12-31-10
  • $1/2 New York Brand Frozen Products, exp. 12-31-10
  • $1/1 Mahatma White, Brown, Gold, or Basmati Rice, exp. 12-31-10

My favorite family meal? Fresh greenbeans from our garden, lightly sauteed in S&P and olive oil with grill chicken breasts. We season our chicken with lemon pepper and garlic salt. Mmm.

“favorite recipe” is hard since I’ve barely repeated a recipe since I got married. But my hubs really loved the feta & bacon stuffed chicken recipe that I got off of allrecipes.com & made with mashed potatoes. :)

We love pizza at our house. Trader Joe’s has pre-made crust in bag that you get in the refrigerator section. Add some pizza sauce or pesto sauce, cheese and we are good to go.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
