I’ve never been a fan of scented trash bags. The scent is always so floral and overpowering, and I always feel like it rubs off on me when I’m changing a bag.

So I was very interested to learn about Hefty’s new Unscented Odor Block Technology. These trash bags help neutralize garbage odors with no added scent. I was a little skeptical as to whether it would actually reduce garbage odor, but it really does work. Even though we frequently change bags, in the past I’ve noticed that after a few trash bag changes, my trash can would start to smell less than ideal, so I’d either have to get out the Lysol or take it outside and rinse it with Clorox.

    I want something strong and I particularly like the ones that stretch to fit more without tearing. We have a small house, so we use smaller garbage cans and I don’t want to have to change trash bags everyday because they don’t hold much.

    I look for a strong bag that has some give to it. We go through so much trash around here with 3 small kids.

    I look for a garbage bag that will really fit my large kitchen trash can and not tear when you are putting it in. A garbage bag that can really make it all the way outside without slitting a side seam because I over-filled it a tiny bit.
