I’ve never been a fan of scented trash bags. The scent is always so floral and overpowering, and I always feel like it rubs off on me when I’m changing a bag.

So I was very interested to learn about Hefty’s new Unscented Odor Block Technology. These trash bags help neutralize garbage odors with no added scent. I was a little skeptical as to whether it would actually reduce garbage odor, but it really does work. Even though we frequently change bags, in the past I’ve noticed that after a few trash bag changes, my trash can would start to smell less than ideal, so I’d either have to get out the Lysol or take it outside and rinse it with Clorox.

    my trash bags HAVE to be able to withstand what i need to put into them! with 3 kids, 2 dogs, 2 cats, & a husband, we often have a “hefty” amount of trash! they MUST BE STRONG or they won’t make it in my house!

    I like the bags that are flexible – that stretch when full, and are resistant to sharp corners of product packaging poking through.

    My favorite bags are the Hefty “Gripper” Kitchen Garbage bags. I have used them for many years because they are everything I like in a kitchen garbage bag. The bags are roomy, strong, and the” Gripper” fits tightly around the top of my kitchen garbage can so that the bag never slides down inside the can. When the bag is full, what was the ‘Gripper” part can be used as a drawstring to tie the garbage bag closed. I like the Hefty “Gripper” bags even better now that they have an unscented odor blocker.
