I’ve never been a fan of scented trash bags. The scent is always so floral and overpowering, and I always feel like it rubs off on me when I’m changing a bag.

So I was very interested to learn about Hefty’s new Unscented Odor Block Technology. These trash bags help neutralize garbage odors with no added scent. I was a little skeptical as to whether it would actually reduce garbage odor, but it really does work. Even though we frequently change bags, in the past I’ve noticed that after a few trash bag changes, my trash can would start to smell less than ideal, so I’d either have to get out the Lysol or take it outside and rinse it with Clorox.

    I now rank odor protection and strength as the most important features for my kitchen trash bags. I just started using these exact trash bags a few months ago! I was having the same problem with my plastic trash can starting to smell, and sometimes the garbage would get a little smelly before the can filled up, so I either had to throw out a less-than-full bag or live with the smell. These bags have worked great for me too, and I find they are plenty strong enough for our kitchen trash.

    I like a strong, flexible kind that stretches as you fill it up or pull it out of the can.DURABLE is very important.

    I look for strength in a trash bag! I hate to be half way to the curb and the bag tear! That is the WORST!!!
