Kids, ice cream, and summertime — they all just seem to go together, don’t they? One of our favorite places to go for ice cream treats is our local SONIC Drive-In. Sure we can get our ice cream fix elsewhere, but few establishments offer the ambiance of SONIC.

My kids adore the ’50s-style drive-in layout and watching the employees rollerskate around, taking orders and delivering meals with ease. As you can see from the photos above, the ice cream offerings aren’t too shabby either! There’s a real ice cream treat to fit everyone’s tastes.

    I think that the vanilla shake at Sonic can’t be beat. And you know, for the kids, the small candy sundae is such a deal! One time my son ordered just cherries on his, because he loves those cherries, and they brought it with 5 cherries! it was great.

    My favorite ice cream treat is the reese’s blast. I also love the fried ice cream blast but it is only available every so often. I love a good root beer float and my favorite shake is the banana! Yum! Yum! Now I want to go to Sonic!
