Kids, ice cream, and summertime — they all just seem to go together, don’t they? One of our favorite places to go for ice cream treats is our local SONIC Drive-In. Sure we can get our ice cream fix elsewhere, but few establishments offer the ambiance of SONIC.

My kids adore the ’50s-style drive-in layout and watching the employees rollerskate around, taking orders and delivering meals with ease. As you can see from the photos above, the ice cream offerings aren’t too shabby either! There’s a real ice cream treat to fit everyone’s tastes.

    I’m a big fan of rootbeer float shakes… makes it a lot easier because I usually try to stir up my regular rootbeer floats so I can drink it through a straw :)

    Our favorite ice cream treat at the moment is root beer floats!!!! Yummmm gotta go get one now.

    I like taking the whole container and eating right from it!!!! No one else in the house likes my bland taste of sugar-free vanilla, so I’m not really not being gross…ok, maybe just a little :)
