Kids, ice cream, and summertime — they all just seem to go together, don’t they? One of our favorite places to go for ice cream treats is our local SONIC Drive-In. Sure we can get our ice cream fix elsewhere, but few establishments offer the ambiance of SONIC.

My kids adore the ’50s-style drive-in layout and watching the employees rollerskate around, taking orders and delivering meals with ease. As you can see from the photos above, the ice cream offerings aren’t too shabby either! There’s a real ice cream treat to fit everyone’s tastes.

    I LOVE sonic…my favorite treat is either a Butterfinger blast or the one where the watermelon slushy is mixed with the ice cream (not sure of the name) … so yummy!!!

    But I’m crazy for a good chunky ice cream (cookie dough, heath, oreo). Mmm.

    My favorite icecream treat would HAVE TO BE….Banana split! I started getting these with my grandma when I was a kid and always think back to then when I indulge in them :)
