I keep an big old glass wine jug for coins. I count it whenever it gets full. Usually we spend it on a nice treat like dinner out or if something comes up like the car needs work.

We empty our coin jar on the first of the month… We put it in our sons college fund. Usually we have about $30 give or take. He’s only 2 so we are getting a good headstart:)

We have a large coin jar that has mostly pennies; we haven’t counted it ever, but are considering taking it coinstar soon.

I have a change jar and I use it for emergency money.

I subscribe to you through email.

We don’t have coin jar, per se, but we put all of our change in our daughters’ piggy banks. We probably take it to the bank once a year and it goes in their college funds.

We keep a ceramic jar of change on our armoire and count it whenever it’s full.
We use it for the kids’ accounts.
Rebecca
We keep our change in one of the compartments in our car. We use it for tolls and such… and when it starts to overflow it’s time to cash it in!
Andrea
We don’t keep a jar. We keep a large paint bucket. The change gets tossed right in. It gets taken to a coinstar twice a year. We use the money (we sure don’t count it ourselves!) for our yearly family vacation! :)
Sadie
We have a coin jar that we are saving for our Disney trip
Jessie
We have a coin jar, which we take to coinstar for amazon credits. There is no fee for the credit as there would be for cashing in for dollar bills.
Andrea
I receive your email updates.
Chandra
I have a jar full of change. Once it is overflowing, I take it down to the nearest coinstar to trade it in for cash.
Thanks for the giveaway! <3
Donna
We do keep a coin jar, although we never seem to count the coins!!! This year, the money is for stocking stuffers!
Andrea
I also “like” both you and Coinstar on Facebook.

We keep a giant glass jug that we counted last about a year ago but put it all back to collect more. The idea was to save for a family trip, but now that the economy is bad, it is more like an emergency fund.
Karen
We have a very large pickle jar that we use for coins. We take it to the credit union to cash in for spending money for our family trip.
