We keep coins in a huge crayon bank and when it’s filled up, we cash it in and do something special with the kids.

I have a plastic container on my kitchen counter and all change gets put in there. About twice a year I bring it to a Coinstar machine. It’s a nice surprise when I see how much was really in that container!!

We keep our spare change in a big glass jar and cash it in at a Coinstar when it starts to get full. I usually get one of those e-certificates since it’s a good deal when you get a bonus too.

We give our change to our son who then puts it in his piggy bank. Once it’s full, we bring it to the bank’s coin machine and put it in his account.
