I’m not a big fan of cash/coins, so we use plastic for our purchases and I keep the occasional change in the car for toll/travels.

We keep a coin jar to pay for special “extras”. My husband uses it to eat out for breakfast occasionally or I might buy extra newspapers with it.

We have a giant baby bottle that we use a piggy bank for my son. We throw all of our loose change in there and cash it in using Coinstar whenever it gets too heavy to lift around. My son has a savings acct that we deposit all the piggy bank money into :)
