Yes, I keep a coin jar and I never count it. When it fills to the top, I go and cash it in. It is always interesting to see how much is in it!

We keep a big coin jar that we use for vacations. With 2 small kids we don’t take one very often anymore (It’s probably been 2 years now at least) but maybe it will be put toward Disney someday =) I don’t think we counted it since probably 2 years ago with our last vacation.

Each family member has a coin jar, and when it’s full we go to our childrens bank for coin counting. Then 1/2 of the money (for the kids) goes into a bank account, and the other 1/2 they can use for a new toy or something they want. The hubby and I use ours for date night!

We keep a coin jar all the time, the change really adds up! We don’t count it often, my hubby usually just takes it to the Coinstar when we get a full jar! We dip into it from time to time to buy coffee at the convenience store, buy stamps at the post office, or give the kids change for snacks at school. We take a full jar cashed in and do a family night at the drive-in!

I do keep a coin jar! And, I’ve been thinking I need to go deposit it in the bank… Now, I’m thinking coinstar will be the better choice! Thanks!

I have a little change jar that I toss all my change into. Since we’re financially living on the edge, I use the change for those little things that always seem to come up at the last minute at my son’s school. He’ll inform me at 9pm that he needs $2 for a pizza party at school, or a field trip on Friday and I’ll be short on cash. Yeah, he’s the kid who has a baggie full of change to cover those costs!
