We purchased a “Magic Kingdom” bank several years ago and keep it on the counter in our entryway. When it gets full we cash it in for Disney gift cards for our future vacations!

My son has a piggy bank and about once a month he counts up his change and goes to a Coinstar to cash it in and get a toy or a game he wants.

We keep a coin jar for bigger purchases as a way to get some money together…our last purchase was and XBOX, we got $75 dollars in change in 1.5 months…put it towards the XBOX and it didn’t seem like we were spending quite as much!

I do keep a coin jar, however, I never get to count it because the kids are always taking the change out for their own piggy banks.

I keep my change in two places – a styrofoam Dunkin Donuts cup, and a five-gallon plastic water jug.

I keep a coin jar. We empty it when it’s full – generally for Christmas presents or a fun trip.

We keep several coin jars stashed away. My husband will usually rummage though them to pay for his fountain sodas he gets throughout the week – so we never really accumulate enough to “cash in”
