We have an actual piggy bank! When it gets full or close to it, I either roll the change and deposit it or take it to Coinstar (depending on how much time I have).

My husband has a coin jar on our dresser. Every three months we take the children up to a Coinstar machine and let them put the money in. It’s very exciting for them to see how much money that change becomes. We then take the money and deposit it in their savings account (but we keep a little for them to buy a dollar toy at Target.) :-)
Thanks for the great giveaway!!

I save quarters every week for the laundry machine!

We do have a jar- but there is usually just pennies in it- because we all of use it when we need change for something.. It would be nice not to touch it for a year and they see what amount we would accumulate in one year or even in one month…..
Thanks….

I keep a coin jar to supplement when money runs low – we’ve used our coins for everything from our daughter’s lunch to gas for our car for groceries!

Yes, I keep a coin depository. I use it for my garage sale money. When I leave to go garage sale shopping my coins can goes with me. I don’t have to worry about budgeting for my hunts, because I have my extra stash.

We keep our change in a plastic bag in our kitchen drawer and then the kids use the money each week on Thursdays to buy smoothies at their school. Thank you.
