+++++++++++++++

Every reader has four methods available to enter this contest. Choose one each of any combination of method one, two, three, or four for up to a total of 4 entries!!!

If you are reading this in your email or feed reader, please CLICK HERE to visit the original blog post to enter. Email entries will not be counted.

Methods of entry:

1. Leave a comment. Tell me your best Save-a-Lot shopping strategies. How do you stretch your budget even further?

2. Add Deal Seeking Mom to your blogroll or add my badge to your sidebar. Make sure to come back and leave the link to your site in a separate comment!

3. Join the new Deal Seeking Mom Forums to chat about your great finds, special coupon codes, and chances to win exclusive giveaways. Leave a separate comment letting me know you’ve joined or that you’re already a registered user!

4. Subscribe to my feed via RSS or email. You must confirm your email subscription for it to be a valid entry! Leave a separate comment letting me know you have done so. If you’re already a subscriber, simply leave a separate comment letting me know you’re already subscribed. Lovin’ my subscribers! You guys make this all possible.

Prize:

(1) $30 Save-a-Lot Gift Card

This giveaway ends at 1 p.m. EST on Thursday, 1/7 and is open to all U.S. residents 18 years or older. I’ll use Random.org to select the winning comment. Winner will be notified by email and listed on my Giveaway Winners page. Good luck!

I have never shopped there but there is one near my house. This would be a great excuse to go there!

We buy canned goods and produce there. The closest one is 30 mins from our house, so we usually go once every 2 weeks when we are in the area. We have found that the produce there is actually better than Walmart’s and the prices are far better! :)

I mostly go there when they put out a $4/$20 coupon or when I have a list of things I need but don’t have coupons for ! :)

My favorite thing to buy at Save a Lot is the Banquet pre cooked breakfast sausages. They are ALWAYS 99 cents and usually I have a 35 cent q. Although this week they had bags of 80 Banquet sausages for $5 plus I could still use my 35 cent q.

Another great idea is to take advantage of their PICK 5 for $20. You pick 5 packs of specially marked meats and it will be $20. What I do is go through the packs of chicken, beef and pork and find the biggest specially marked packages. Get some awesome deals and do not have to look for a sale.

I would love to try them out! They just opened one nearby and I haven’t had a chance to go yet.

I normally purchase produce, canned vegetables, bread and debbie snacks (when on sale). Save-a-Lot has always been a great place to shop. My parents shopped there a lot when I was a child and I’m glad they are still up and running.

Save-A-Lot definitely has nice prices on produce, and the produce always looks nice. It’s good quality. I do enjoy their avocados very much when they are in-season. It’s a great place!

My favorite thing to purchase at Sav-A-Lot is the Zote laundry detergent bar which I use to make my own laundry detergent (for pennies). Sav-A-Lot is 10 cents cheaper than anywhere else.

I have not shopped in our SaveALot, but I am eager to try. I think my strategies will be what they are at other stores…..look for clearance, post holiday foodie deals, etc.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
