I save money on batteries by using a brand like duracell or energizer, especially for a camera. Buying the cheap ones ended up not saving any money because I had to replace them so often. It’s the worst when your camera batteries die and you are halfway through an event!

I try to buy batteries when they are on sale and in big package amounts. There have been times when using a digital camera that the batteries die out quickly. :(

I buy the cheap store brand ones – we don’t use batteries very often. The exception is for our digital camera, which died while we were on our honeymoon. Luckily, we were able to fix that with a quick stop.

I almost always have coupons on hand for batteries (since they seem to be ubiquitous in the weekly newspaper circulars). We also buy common-sized batteries in bulk when they are on sale.

Slowly starting to collect rechargeable (cost prohibits us from using only rechargeable). Also, we use coupons and sales to buy, which helps.

I purchase my batteries when they are on sale at Walgreens and yes my camera batteries have died more than once keeping me from getting some great photos.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
