I save on batteries by double checking my walkman radio w/headphones is turned off and in the locked position to avoid wasting battery power when I am done excercising.

I save money by turning off my camera when not in use. I have had it die in the middle of weddings and Christmas pictures so I always try to keep an extra set now.

I turn off my camera when not in immediate use, but I STILL sometimes pick up the digital camera and/or the digital camcorder to take a picture or video and the battery is exhausted. Very frustrating.

I save money by buying generic batteries. I saw a special on tv once showing that the generic work just as good as the name brands so since then I’ve purchased them, unless of course I get the name brand free or cheap!

I save money on batteries by using rechargable and lithium batteries. Yes, I have had my batteries die at a bad time, when I was photographing the bride and groom walking in to the reception hall, my flash batteries went out:( Luckily I grabbed my back up camera and got the shot.

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
