We try to use rechargeable batteries, especially since the kids always seem to be draining their batteries so quickly. In the long run, I think the cost pays off.

I always wait until the batteries are B1G1F. CVS is usually the place. Stack this with coupons and a -$4/$20 purchase coupons. Not bad. Sometimes you even get a few extra bucks. My batteries always die in my camera when I am at a school function:-(

Who hasn’t had batteries die when they are filming something important. I just try my best to keep a spare set in my camera bag as needed!
Jessica
I just try to get them on sale. Staples had a great deal a while back and I stocked up!
Holly
I buy CVS batteries when they are B1G1 free; and it’s even better when I have a coupon for $2 off $10.

I save money on batteries by using the Energizer rechargeable batteries. We have SO many toys between the two boys that require batteries, that we decided it was time to invest in the rechargeables. It’s been great!

I buy batteries on sale and with coupons, of course! :)
I wish I could take the leap and buy rechargeable but I tried them 15 or so years ago and, maybe technology wasn’t as good back then, but they did not live up to my expectation and I don’t want to sink the money into something I won’t be happy with.

We also use rechargeable batteries. This was especially great when the girls were little and we ran through the swing batteries (I had swing sleepers for a little while!).
We have the worst luck with our video-camera battery needing to be charged right at the wrong moment!
Carla
We do a combo – rechargeables for devices that get a lot of use. Costco alkalines for lesser-used items.
Whitney
I try to only buy them when they are on sale and when I have a coupon!
