    Before my dad died, his house was our favorite place to picnic. The yard was big…plenty of good food, great family times. We also like Brown County, Indiana.

    We have a small boat launch area right around the corner from us that has a bunch of ducks there. We love to take our son, pack some sandwiches (with extra bread and crackers for the ducks and fish) and head over there for lunch on the weekends!

    My favorite place for a picnic is Roaring River, Missouri. By the trout streams, it is shady and the running water makes a peaceful sound while you eat either sandwiches or the fish you caught that morning.

    We love to picnic with cousins. I meet up with my sisters and let the kids play! Sandwiches and treats!

    We love to pack a picnic of summer finger foods (fruit & veggies, cheese cubes and crackers, and mini-desserts like cookies or brownies) and go to an area near our house to listen to the symphony. The symphony tickets are just under $20 after getting a deal. The symphony plays in a bandshell overlooking a large grassy lawn–and most concertgoers sit on the lawn or bring captains chairs and pack a picnic. But after packing a picnic with items purchased during my regular (wild couponing) grocery shopping, it’s pretty inexpensive for a special date night for both dinner and entertainment! Would love to be a winner–I love going Kroger-ing! :)
