We usually give a gift card. That way the teacher can use it on something for themselves.

I think homemade goodies like cookies, muffins, etc. are great gifts.

We send cookies in a nice tin and a small gift card. My kids contribute to the gift by helping with the baking and the teacher can use the gift card for something she really wants or needs.

I’m giving Glade Candles and Old Navy Scarves and Free B&BW items! I’m going to package them in $1 Target Christmas boxes and hopefully add a few more goodies on the cheap.

I think the total cost for me will be under $5, but the value will be closer to $25!

My kids are in preschool and we’ve done candle (this year we’re doing the glade holiday candles from the Target money maker scenario) and homemade goodies. It’s also fun to have the kids make cards or ornaments. As a teacher myself, some of my favorite gifts from kids last year was the homemade goodies and I had one mom that handmade notecards with our names carved out of them for us! So creative and original!

We make up a dry mix for apple cider that the teacher can make over the holidays and share with family. We attach it to a bottle of apple juice so they have all the ingredients they need to make it.

I’m a photographer, so I like to take pictures of class events throughout the year. At the end of the year, I choose the best of the best to make prints and put them in an album.

I love finding tote bags on clearance to give to our teachers. Usually we fill them with goodies, books, lotions, and candles (all of which I collect while on sale, of course!)

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
