Subway’s School Rewards program is a great way to earn money for your favorite school just by eating at Subway. Schools can use the money for supplies, athletic equipment — whatever they need most! To participate, simply pick up a Subway card, load it with funds, link it to your school and use it to pay for your Subway meals.
Teachers can also sign up for a Get Fit for the Fun of It kit from SubwayKids.com as a way to help their students get and stay fit!
One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a $100 Subway gift card. Link the card to your favorite school and begin earning cash rewards for the school with every purchase on your gift card!

As a former inner city elementary teacher, I can tell you the things I loved most were items the kids bought at the dollar store. It was special b/c I knew they had taken time to pick them out themselves :)

I usually give homemade cookies, fudge, candy. Sometimes gift cards. I want it to be something consumable so they don’t end up with a bunch of junk lying around their house.

I love to find flower pots on sale throughout the year and fill them with flowers that they can then transfer to their garden. They make a beautiful gift

I always pick out dollar candies or chocolates from the dollar store. There’s plenty to choose from usually, and it just shows we are thinking of them.

I used to think that homemade food was the best, but then a teacher told me that she just Threw Away all of the homemade food (she thought that the child could have put something bad in it). So, now I’m torn, I still like the homemade food, but I don’t want to waste time and ingredients making something that will just get thrown in the trash can at the end of the day.

I always gave the teachers little gift baskets – sometimes with fruit, sometimes with bath essentials. It depended on what could be found on sale and what I thought he/she would like.
