Who Wants to Win a Flip Digital Video Camera?

August 29, 2008 by Tara Kuczykowski

Hopefully you’ve had a chance to check out my first-ever vlog attempt on frugal baby and toddler feeding, so you’ve seen the Flip in action! The quality of the video far exceeded my expectations, and it is SO simple to use.

I was really kind of nervous about doing a video. “You, uh, want me to do what? Put myself on display in a series of videos in front of all my readers? Um . . . okay.” But I had a great time learning how to use my Flip and playing around with Windows Movie Maker. Now that I’ve got one done and relaxed a little, I’m really looking forward to my next vlog!

So how would you like to have one of these fabulous little gadgets for your very own? Courtesy of Walmart and Pure Digital, I have one Flip Digital Video Camera in my hot little hands for one lucky reader to win! You could even use it to win a year’s worth of groceries by submitting your best money-saving tips on video to the Walmart channel on YouTube. I would be SO thrilled if one of my readers won the groceries!!!

Every reader has three methods available to enter this contest. Choose any combination of one, two, or three, for up to a total of 3 entries!!!

1. Leave a comment telling me the best money-saving method or tip that you’ve actually used recently. Make sure that I have some way to get in touch with you if you are the winner. (Either leave your email address in your comment or make sure I can access it from your profile.) Don’t worry, I won’t harvest your email addresses or use them for any purpose other than notifying you if you win.

2. Subscribe to my feed via RSS or email and leave a separate comment letting me know you have done so. If you’re already a subscriber, simply leave a separate comment letting me know you’re already subscribed. Lovin’ my subscribers! You guys make this all possible.

3. Spread the word about this contest in some manner and come back and leave a link in a separate comment. If you have a blog, you can blog about it. But if you don’t have a blog, you’re not at a disadvantage. You could review and Stumble it. You could Twitter it. You could post about it in a forum. Use your imagination!

It is important that you leave a separate comment for each type of entry because each comment is equal to one entry. Sorry to harp on this, but it really is that important to tally and select the winners easily, so I thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Prize:
(1) Flip Video F260 Ultra 60-Minute Digital Camcorder, ARV $125

This giveaway ends at 11:59 p.m. EDT on Sunday, September 7th. I’ll use Random.org to generate a number that corresponds with the winning comment and post the winner on Monday, September 8th. Good luck!

My kids go through lots of juice, so I buy concentrate and always put extra water in. I can’t notice a difference in taste, and neither can they (unless I put A LOT of water). I also add a little more water when it’s almost out, because usually what’s left is the more concentrated juice that filtered down to the bottom. It makes it last just a little longer.

I also water down creamy salad dressings. It coats the lettuce better, it lasts longer, and you get the same taste while eating a little less fat and junk.

I try to pick an errand destination where I can get most of the things I need in one plaza. So that grocery store might not be the very closest one, but if its plaza also has a branch of my bank and a Target and a party store or whatever, it means only driving the car to one place, turning it off and walking for my errands.

Here’s my tip – I check out movies from the local public library instead of going to a big chain. Its only a dollar and the selection is great. (in kansas city) Thanks for the giveaway! [email protected]

My husband drives over the road and gone all week. I make jello and put it in little continers (instead of buying singles)and different items for him that he can store in his refigerator and heat up or eat when he’s ready and not have to buy food or go to resturants.

my favorite money-saving tip that I have used again and again is nixxing the store bought cleaners and using distilled vinegar instead. I have a little kiddo and a furry kiddo(cat) in the house so using those harsh chemicals was not in the cards for us. I found out about using vinegar solutions instead and never turned back. I love it!

My latest money-saving tip is shopping the local farmer’s markets. Sometimes the food is cheaper than at the supermarket (though often it’s about the same or a little more), but I find myself buying more fresh produce than I would at the store, which is cutting down on the amount of meat and pre-packaged goods I was buying before. Bonus: I’m eating healthier and supporting local businesses.

I used coupons at the grocery store yesterday. I never use them and was really excited to save a bit of $$

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
