Who Wants to Win a Flip Digital Video Camera?

August 29, 2008 by Tara Kuczykowski

Hopefully you’ve had a chance to check out my first-ever vlog attempt on frugal baby and toddler feeding, so you’ve seen the Flip in action! The quality of the video far exceeded my expectations, and it is SO simple to use.

I was really kind of nervous about doing a video. “You, uh, want me to do what? Put myself on display in a series of videos in front of all my readers? Um . . . okay.” But I had a great time learning how to use my Flip and playing around with Windows Movie Maker. Now that I’ve got one done and relaxed a little, I’m really looking forward to my next vlog!

So how would you like to have one of these fabulous little gadgets for your very own? Courtesy of Walmart and Pure Digital, I have one Flip Digital Video Camera in my hot little hands for one lucky reader to win! You could even use it to win a year’s worth of groceries by submitting your best money-saving tips on video to the Walmart channel on YouTube. I would be SO thrilled if one of my readers won the groceries!!!

Every reader has three methods available to enter this contest. Choose any combination of one, two, or three, for up to a total of 3 entries!!!

1. Leave a comment telling me the best money-saving method or tip that you’ve actually used recently. Make sure that I have some way to get in touch with you if you are the winner. (Either leave your email address in your comment or make sure I can access it from your profile.) Don’t worry, I won’t harvest your email addresses or use them for any purpose other than notifying you if you win.

2. Subscribe to my feed via RSS or email and leave a separate comment letting me know you have done so. If you’re already a subscriber, simply leave a separate comment letting me know you’re already subscribed. Lovin’ my subscribers! You guys make this all possible.

3. Spread the word about this contest in some manner and come back and leave a link in a separate comment. If you have a blog, you can blog about it. But if you don’t have a blog, you’re not at a disadvantage. You could review and Stumble it. You could Twitter it. You could post about it in a forum. Use your imagination!

It is important that you leave a separate comment for each type of entry because each comment is equal to one entry. Sorry to harp on this, but it really is that important to tally and select the winners easily, so I thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Prize:
(1) Flip Video F260 Ultra 60-Minute Digital Camcorder, ARV $125

This giveaway ends at 11:59 p.m. EDT on Sunday, September 7th. I’ll use Random.org to generate a number that corresponds with the winning comment and post the winner on Monday, September 8th. Good luck!

Coupons are the best thing ever! The other day I saved $32 dollars off of $140 worth of gifts at Bed, Bath, & Beyond that I purchased for my friend's bridal shower by using coupons! And not just by using a regular BBB coupon…they were expired coupons that we printed from the internet that day! I recently found out that BBB, along with with a few other retailers, often accepts expired and competitor coupons. So good luck to eveyone and go save some money!!! :D

Make sure you look at the amount of product you are getting in addition to the price. Many companies are “downsizing” and not lowering the price at all!

What saves me the most money is using coupons–especially online coupons/codes and printing coupons from the internet! Before I purchase anything online, I search for coupons/codes for that store. I also use ebates, where I recieve cash back for online purchases I make and they also have coupons there as well. And I also use coupons that I print off the internet…even at Walmart–so I save even more money! LOL! If they say that they don’t allow the use of internet coupons, it’s a lie. It’s stated that internet coupons can be used in their coupon policy (So print off a copy of the policy and keep it in your purse just in case they try telling you that they don’t allow them). I love making a good deal and saving money!!!

Before hitting the grocery store, I make up a meal plan for the week. In that meal plan I try to use the fewest ingredients possible while still being healthy and creative (so we’re not eating the same thing every meal). The meal plan helps me to stay focused on what we really need and to steer clear of unessential products that only lead to more spending.

    Great giveaway!

I’ve been really using my slow cooker a lot. I’ve been using it for cooking dried beans. Cheap and nutritious!

A great money-saving method that I use is to make out a menu for a month & then buy everything for that month in one shopping trip. I put meals with fresh vegetables/fruits at the beginning of the month since they wouldn't last until the end of the month. johnnysue5 at hotmail dot com

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
