Which Grocery Stores Double Coupons?

May 24, 2011 by Tara Kuczykowski 837 Comments

One of the questions I’m asked most frequently these days is, “Which grocery stores double coupons in [my area]?” I’ve generally been responding by telling them to contact their local stores and ask what their policy is — but today it occurred to me that perhaps we could create a resource that will save everyone a little time and energy.

So to that end, I’d like to compile a list of grocery stores that double by state, and I need your help. Please scroll down and leave a comment on this post with your state and any grocery stores that you know of that double coupons.

I’ll use the information to create a resource that will allow users to easily look up their state and find out which stores will double coupons. Thanks for your help!

    Johnson City, TN
Kroger will double any amount of coupons up to $.50
Ingles will double coupons up to $.50 but they only double 3 coupons for every $10 spent, YMMV on this one.

I live in Northeast Alabama (just south of Gadsden)… the only place that doubles coupons in our area is Winn-Dixie and only up to 50 cents.

Do you know of any stores in the panhandle? What about nearby in Alabama (like Dothan)? I have been trying to find a store that doubles, without any luck.

I live in Dothan. There are no stores that double coupons. Publix does however accept Target coupons (asked at the grand opening yesterday, they gave me a flyer saying Target is accepted as a competitor).

PENSACOLA – FL Food World does double. Not sure if it’s up to 99 cents or $1.00. Everyday. I saw that someone in AL said Winn-dixie will double up to 50 cents. I’m gonna ask here in Pensacola. One thing that I did discover is that Wal-Mart will take other grocery store coupons. A lot of times in Publix online weekly ads, they have special coupons on their online site…same with Winn-Dixie. You can print them and use @ Walmart. They honor competitor coupons. They won’t do the $5 off $25 or BOGO, but if you have an actual coupon they will honor that. Note…when checking out it is good if you put the coupon with the item because they actually have to punch it in manually and have to know the cost of the item. We found out when we had to go digging through bags for something!

Wegman’s grocery stores will double your coupons up to $1.00 (of the coupon value).
To clarify, if I’ve got a .75 cents off coupon, they’ll double it and I get $1.50 off. BUT if the coupon is for $1.00, then there is no doubling and I only get $1.00 off. I have found Wegman’s policy really helpful as I look for .55 off coupons ($1.10), or .75 coupons ($1.50) and I’ve scored great deals on Lays chips, Hormel natural deli meats, silk soymilk, triscuits, etc. – and when these items are on sale – I REALLY score!

Martin’s (also owned by Giant, I think) will double any coupons $0.99 and under, anything $1 and up is at their face value, but I have been told that the sales paper will have “doublers” that will double those as well.

Saginaw MI – My local Kroger doubles up to $1 but down state they do not. My local Meijer doubles up to 50 cents down state I don’t think they double at all. So it can vary even within the same state.

You silly silly sily li'[l goys, have your knickers in a knot from far… I say. Anyway, my latina lassie does the coupon thingy (she buys up to 30 Sunday newspapers from the Dollar store) as well here in Sacramento, CA and I think FoodsCo (Krogers subsidiary store) does the double coupon thing.

p.s. Bambine e Chicas, ( Ladies & Gals) I found a local recycling place that pays $ 100 bacon double cheeseburgers or dollars to you lassies for a ton newspaper so you should check your local recycling places.

    Ciao per oggi…

I know the Kroger on Bechtle and I think Limestone are up to 50 cents too and then after is like Meijer. I’m not sure on anything else.

I know Save-A-lot on Park rd depends who you get. If you get me then I’ll double it or give you an extra one. Other than that, face value. So seriously….Depends who you get =)

Busch’s with My Way card to 50 cents I think all of them limit doubling to 3 alike then the others are at face value. Many times the ones that say “do not double” do automatically by the register anyway.
