Some tips for shopping Walmart:

  • Walmart’s prices vary by region, even by store within the same area, but generally they are reasonably close to the listed price.
  • Walmart does accept Internet printable coupons. You may find it helpful to print out and carry a copy of the Walmart corporate coupon policy with you.
  • Walmart will price match competitor’s ads on like items.

New to couponing? Read up on what all of these abbreviations mean first in my quick reference guide.

Have you found any stellar bargains at Walmart lately? Please feel free to email me so I can share them (while giving you credit, of course)! Along the same lines, if you find a deal is no longer valid because the coupon has expired or reached its print limit, it’s very helpful if you let me know so I can keep it current. Thanks for your help!

I wonder if people realize how much they spend printing the coupons? Paper and toner cost money…

Milla ~ that is so true. I don’t think anyone does realize how much toner/ink and paper cost to print these coupons. I know I never thought of that. Paper isn’t that expensive but the ink for my copier is!

Milla – That is why you buy those things on sale, lol. I only print my Qs in black and white, and then have the ink cartridge filled at Walgreens for $10. That is a fraction of what it costs elsewhere. Also, if you have RR, then you can use those and get your ink cartridge filled even cheaper!

Ah, we are touching on a great topic for debate. When searching for a printer to purchase, don’t buy based on the printer price. Search for the cost of the ink!!! Doesn’t matter what the printer cost, the cheaper ones normally have the most expensive ink.

LeighAnn – I like your idea of the ink cartridge at Walgreens. I have seen the signs in the store but never took advantage of this offer. I wonder if some CVS stores offer the same?

We have found paper for $.30 a ream at Staples this year so we bought a bunch and added it to our “stockpile”. Yes, we officially stockpile paper. :-)
