Thanks for the heads up on this deal :)

Does anyone know how long Walgreens will hold your pictures if you choose in-store pickup? I’m asking because I was thinking about waiting till Saturday or Sunday (after all the photo deals came out) to pick them up so that I only had to make one trip.

Ooh, excellent idea, Nicole! I’m not sure, but please come back and share if you find out.

Nicole,
Might depend on your local Walgreens but mines holds orders for months. I am sure you will have no problem waiting until then to pick up. Also they will call you prior to tossing pictures out. That is a good idea, I’ll probably do the same.

Why thank y’all, I’m glad someone knows. I just ordered my 25 prints today (I forgot to get yesterday’s in, kiddos distracted me & made me forget) and since my order won’t even be ready until Thursday according to my receipt, I’ll definitely be waiting to pick them all up at once. Unless of course, I need that extra bit to spend my RRs.

My wife went to our Walgreens to pick up our free 8×10 and 25 penny prints today, and they wouldn’t give them to her! The lady refused to believe that the prices that printed out on her own invoice were correct and told my wife that unless she brought in “the coupon” to prove it she would have to pay full price. She even crossed out the $0.00 price on the 8 by 10 and wrote in $2.99!
I’m going back there tomorrow to set things straight and get my photos. Glad to hear you all are having better luck!

Oh my gosh – that’s horrible! I can’t imagine someone doing that. I’d print a copy of the page and take it in, or I can forward you the email that I received last week if you email me directly.

Thanks for the offer –
I went in today and had equally grumpy service from the same lady, who refused to give me my pictures without “the coupons.” The receipts she printed out herself from the Wphoto website had the correct prices on them and indicated a coupon had been used, but the 8 by 10 coupon description on that receipt said “free shipping” rather than “free 8 by 10” – I don’t know why, but that shouldn’t have been any concern of mine. The order and total were both correct. She just wouldn’t give them to me.
I asked her to get the manager, but she snipped that “he was busy” unloading the truck. I politely asked her to call him out anyway. She didn’t appreciate that very much and gave me plenty of sour looks. The guy who came out said he was “filling in” for the manager, who was out sick. When I explained the situation, he eventually told her to give me my items at the price, but he still insisted the deals were not ones they were currently running and that “some people” – not me, he said, but people LIKE me (still insulting) were always coming in trying to scam the photo place for free prints. He said my order had been red-flagged. I don’t know why -it’s the first order I’ve gotten from Wphoto.com since they botched our wedding photos 4 years ago. (The only other time we used the in-store service was last year, and they shorted us on prints AGAIN. It took two additional trips to fix that mistake.) He apologized, but insisted that all the hassle was necessary because of all the scammers out there. It was a nice gesture, but it’s no excuse for rudeness (to me and tomy sweet wife) and lousy customer service. He also suggested that I come armed with printout in hand every time I use a coupon code for photos in the future. Except in special circumstances, no customer should have to do that when the receipt prints right out with all the info for the photo techs to read themselves.
So, I put a call in to Walgreens’ customer service (1-800-925-4733 option4, 1) when I got home. I asked them to please contact my local store and inform them that their own promotion does exist so they don’t accuse/insinuate that any more of their legitimate customers are trying to commit a crime! They said they would take care of it. I just dread going in to pick up any future deals this week from that same lady… she seems to have a bit of a chip on her shoulder already, and if she gets flak from my call to customer service she’ll be even more unpleasant to deal with next time.
If anyone else has trouble – I’d recommend whipping out the cell phone and placing a call to customer service right there in the store.
