I have had this posted in the forums for a while! They are $1.99 at my Walgreens for the one pictured, depending on whos working if they will adjust or not!

The coupons beeped for me, and the cashier wouldn’t push them through! Hope someone else has better luck!

Every Cutter coupon I’ve tried at both Walgreens and Kmart has beeped. I don’t know what’s up with them.

I have used the Cutter coupon at both Walgreens and Walmart and both times it beeped. At Walgreens they wouldn’t push it threw but at Walmart they did.

Same thing happened to me – the coupon beeped and they would not push it through. No idea why it beeped though. I will try again elsewhere.

My Walgreens had them marked 2/$4 so I didn’t think that there would be a problem but of course it beeped. I didn’t understand why because their was no price mod needed, but the manager wouldn’t push them through, stating that the first was $2.19 and the second was priced at $1.81. He gave me the one for $.19, but then said that he wouldn’t give me any more with the coupons, stating that famous line that they love, “It says one per purchase” I got one but it’s the principle of it and they are always so rude to “couponers” at Walgreens, I just can’t understand why?

Walgreens told me that it would be coupon fraud if they pushed it through since it was a penny less than the coupon.

It’s definitely not coupon fraud, Gloria. Their corporate office has stated in the past that their policy is to adjust them down to the price of the item.

Funny, I thought it was just me, but I live near Seattle, WA and when I went to buy my 3 cutters (In 3 separate transactions) the coupon beeped each time. I asked the cashier why, (he’s a good guy so he pushed it through) and he said he didn’t know. I went to a separate WAGS to try to purchase my second round of Ecotrins with the 2.25 coupon and no manager would adjust down, I got two using the 5/17 $2’s so I am good. But, Is there a corporate email address I could use to get the actual policy, or does anyone know of a link that I use so that I could take a copy of their policy to the management? Thanks, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the site, has saved my family some major cash!

Hi! Love your site and I use it ALL THE TIME, but it’s my first time posting! Just wanted to say that I think the Cutter coupons must be regional (I live near Winston Salem, NC) because I can’t find them in my inserts today, so I guess I’ll be skipping this one… unless I have the one in the ALL YOU June issue, as previously suggested. :(
Thanks for all your hard work!!

I got the Cutter product at WAGS today. It’s tiny, but free indeed! Now that you all say it, the coupon did beep but the cashier rang it through (she was very nice.) I also got 2 Aquafresh and used two $1 coupons and those beeped. The cashier simply adjusted down the penny. Same deal on the Ecotrin – the cashier adjusted it down to $2 so I did not get the $.25 overage. I couldn’t care less about the $.25 because it was still a $2 moneymaker.

The cashier I had said it was beeping because it was ringing up as a product not a coupon. She pushed it through with no problem – but maybe that is why everyone is having problems with it?

I was surprised at how tiny this was – I was looking for something much bigger! I really like it though – perfect to put in my purse. :)

I’ve noticed the beeping occurs when the wrong barcode is scanned on the coupon. I use the self-checkout lanes at Wal-Mart a lot, and the $1/1 Blue Bunny coupon kept beeping at me until I started holding the coupon at a certain angle to scan the normal barcode instead of the elongated newer-looking barcodes. Perhaps this is the same issue with the Cutter coupons? I haven’t tried purchasing my Cutter products today, but I will post my experience. The clerks at my local Walgreens are coupon-friendly, so there shouldn’t be a problem.

There are two other deals @ Walgreens that haven’t been mentioned much. The first is Try Me Free Esencia shampoo and conditioner by Samy. These bottles are $7.99 at Walgreen’s and you receive $7.99 back with $7.99 Mail-in-Rebate if you purchase either the shampoo or conditioner (limit 1 per household). Walgreen’s also has a B1G1 50% off deal going on right now, too. Combine this with the $1/1 printable coupon, and you can get both the shampoo and the conditioner for $3 after the discount, coupon, and MIR. Please keep in mind, though, the Esencia coupon beeped when the Walgreens clerk scanned my coupon in. This could be due to the fact that my printer had been running out of ink at the time I printed out the coupon. Just be aware of this before you go in case your neighborhood Walgreens isn’t coupon-friendly. My clerk just pushed it through with no problem, and even threw some free body wash samples into my bag!

There are two other in-store Walgreens deals I noticed yesterday while browsing that I’d like to combine and make a sweet deal with, but I haven’t been able to concoct a scenario to make it worthwhile. The first is Buy 2 or more Nabisco products and 1 gallon milk, and get $3 RRs back. The second is Get Kraft Jet Puffed Marshmallows FREE when you buy Nabisco Honey Maid Grahams and Hershey’s Bars 6-pk. Nabisco Honey Maid Grahams, Nabisco Oreo Cakesters, Nabisco Chips Ahoy, and some other products are on sale 2/$7. The brand of milk at my location is Schepp’s, which retails for $2.99, and I haven’t been able to find (much less price) the 6-pk of Hershey’s bars. If anyone can come up with a good coupon matchup that combines these offers, please let me know!

I just noticed that the $1/1 Esencia coupon that I posted my previous comment says “Limit 1 coupon per product purchased” at the bottom instead of “Limit 1 coupon per person” or “Limit one coupon per transaction” … so you can actually use 2 of these coupons wyb 2 and get both for $2 after the Try Me Free MIR. Looks like I made a mistake when I made my purchases, but you guys can benefit from it!

I just got back from my Wags and the coupons beeped for me. Initially, the cashier didn’t want to give me the coupon, so I told her to ask her manager, and then she allowed it. Why must it always be a hassle using coupons?

I was told at Walgreens today that I could not use the $2 Cutter coupon because the product was only $1.99. Cashier called the manager up and he told me this. I asked if he could adjust the price of the coupon down to match it and he said no, it was against Walgreens policy. I told him I’ve heard of other stores doing that and he said it was grounds for being fired. :( He was very nice about it, but very strict with Wag’s policies.

Heather, it may have been a regional coupon from the sound of it. eBay is a great resource for coupons that are regional, especially for a deal as good as this!

For all of you who aren’t finding all the coupons in your inserts that are suppose to be there try seeing if you can buy a paper from a bigger town.

For example the people from my area know that you don’t buy the Sunday Columbian (Vancouver’s paper) you buy the Oregonion (Portland’s paper) because the inserts have all the coupons. There really is a big difference, we’ve compaired them.

    Hope that helps

I did find the $2 off coupon for Cutter in the current All You magazine! My mom actually buys the paper to read but gives me the inserts. I used to just toss them but now I scour through them looking for the deals! She gets both the paper for the bigger town nearby and the more local one. I have noticed that the coupons are mostly the same but there are a few differences.

In reading your posts regarding the issue of people being rude about the coupons I thought I would pass on a tidbit of info that I recently learned as I am entering the coupon world. The woman that was explaining couponing to me and others warned us about people that thought couponers were trying to rip their store off. She armed us with a bit of info. The store actually makes money off the coupon. They get the full amount of the coupon, plus an additional 7 cents for each one. Therefore, you are actually making the store more money by using coupons and getting the merchandise for free than you would be if you paid cash.

That is really good to know! I encountered my first not-so-coupon-friendly-cashier at Walmart yesterday. She told me that if the internet coupons don’t have the extra little fuzzy bar code in addition to the regular one that they can’t accept it. All my printable Smartsource ones do not have this extra bar code. I wondered if that was correct information

What coupon barcode do they scan? The one that looks like a upc code thingy or the barcode that is long on the top and has a short one underneth?

Heather..Sometimes I think the cashier’s just like to think they have a little power by saying certian things..I’ve had a few tell me some off-the-wall barlarky!
