Walgreens $5 off $20 Coupon Scenario, Good 11/14 and 11/15

November 14, 2008 by Tara Kuczykowski 10 Comments

Print out your $5 off $20 Walgreens coupon to do the following scenario. It’s a slow week so it’s not a money-making opportunity, but I plan to use this coupon to start stockpiling for Thanksgiving dinner, and cheap diapers are always welcome in this house. It will actually cost me nothing OOP, because I haven’t used my EasySaver Rebates gift card yet this month!  But I’d be willing to pay the $15.06 OOP for all of this even if I didn’t have my GC.

BUY (4) Kellogg’s Cereals at 4/$10*
BUY Pampers Diapers (jumbo packs) at $9.99
BUY (2) Betty Crocker Frosting at $0.99
BUY (2) Libby’s 100% Pure Pumpkin (15-oz.) at $0.99 (with Walgreens in-ad coupon)
BUY (2) Coffee Mate Liquid (16-oz.) at $2.49 (BOGO)
BUY (2) Carnation Evaporated Milk at $0.99 (with Walgreens in-ad coupon)
BUY (4) Progresso Soup at 4/$5
BUY Domino Sugar (5-lb.) at $1.99 (with Walgreens in-ad coupon)

USE (4) $1/1 Kellogg’s Cereal (10-oz.+) any flavor
OR $1/1 Kelloggs Rice Krispies, Frosted Mini-Wheats, or Crispix Cereal, 10 oz.+ (exp. 12-31-08)
OR $1/1 Kelloggs Smart Start, Special K or All-Bran Cereal, 11.4 oz.+ (exp. 12-21-08)
USE $1.50/1 Pampers Diapers or Pants, any jumbo pack+, exp. 11-30-08 (P&G 10/12/08)
USE (2) $0.55/1 Betty Crocker Frosting printable
USE $1/2 Libby’s Pumpkin printable
USE (2) $1/1 Coffee Mate printable
USE $1/2 Carnation printable
USE (4) $1.10/1 Progresso Soup printable
USE $0.35/1 Domino Granulated Sugar, exp. 12-31-08 (V 10/12/08)
USE Walgreens $5/$20 coupon

Out of Pocket $15.06
RRs** Earned $3.00

*I’ve also read that there’s a gift check offer that can be found in New You Magazine which is available at grocery stores and Kmart that could get your $10 back on the Kellogg’s cereal!

**RRs are Register Rewards. It’s a coupon that will print with your receipt that is good towards your next purchase at Walgreens.

If something here doesn’t appeal to you, check out the weekly deals at Walgreens as well as the monthly deals at Walgreens to make substitutions.

Have fun shopping!

I have looked everywhere for the New You magazine and can’t find it anywhere, even can’t seem to find it on a search. Are you sure that is the name of the mag?

HELP – I am having a hard time with Walgreens RR – I am a newbie to this, but it seems as if when I use a Manufacturer Coupon for an item that has RR – the RR do not print out so I don’t qualify to get them. Also I am having a hard time using the RR – it seems as if you use them to buy something that you will get another RR for, the new RR does not print out – and you can’t use RR’s for items that you also use a Manufacturer Coupon – Does this seem right – HELP!

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
