LeapFrog Tag Reading System Deal
Can you believe that Target still has some of the clearance-priced LeapFrog Tag Reading Systems?!?! And now they’re down to just $12.48!

My Target still had 7 of them sitting on the shelf tonight, all mixed in with the newer version at full price. The price tag read $34.98; however, they scanned at the $12.48 price. Use the $10 off any LeapFrog Tag Reading System printable (PDF), and they’re just $2.48!!!

LeapFrog Tag Reading System, $12.48 (clearanced from $49.99)
$10 off any LeapFrog Tag Reading System printable (PDF)
$2.48 after coupon!

Looking for a deal on the Tag books? Head to Kmart!

Select LeapFrog Tag Books, $4.80
$4/1 LeapFrog Tag Book printable (PDF)
$3/1 LeapFrog Tag Book printable (IE) or printable (FF)

Any other deal suggestions for the books?

By the way, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Kmart clearancing these out soon. I was at a Virginia Beach Kmart yesterday and they had both Tag models on the shelf. The new one was $49.99 and the older one was $32.99, I believe.

An easy way to tell the two models apart is by the book shown on the box. The one with the Cat in the Hat is the new one, which comes with a hardcover book.

I got a Tag system at Williamsburg, VA Target yesterday! It was marked for $24.99 but scanned as $12.49. Too bad it was the only one on the shelf, or I would have gotten more for friends’ kids. I also stopped by Kmart this morning to grab some books. Two of the books on clearance for $7 rang up as $4.80, and I used two$4 coupon to get two for around $2. That generated a $5 catalina so I used that and another $4 to get a Star Wars book – its full priced, but I know my son will love it so its worth it! In all, I spent around $11 for the system plus three books! Woo hoo!

I went to Kmart and all they had on sale were the ‘read along-sing along’ set. Is this the same as the sale priced item listed above? It is called sing along read along dvd and 12 book set. It was on clearance for $12.
    Thanks.

No- I saw the Read-Aalong Sing-Along set also at Kmart today on clearance, and they are not for the Tag system. I was referring to books for the Tag system which are normally priced around $13-$14 dollars, and I found these in their regular spots next to all the full price items, by the way, and not inthe clearance section.

If anyone grabbed an extra one (or the books) I’m desperately looking for one of these for my daughter for christmas. Its what she wants but I know I’ll never be able to afford one new. I’ll pay shipping and extra. Books and a tag reader…two tags would be great then they wouldnt fight. I have to do christmas on a budget this year and none of the 7 Targets I went to this morning had any. Email me- [email protected] if your willing.

Well, just got home from two Targets and neither had any of the Tag reading systems on sale. Stopped by K-mart and they didn’t have any Tag books on clearance either. However, they did have Click Start games marked down and then, when I scanned them, they were even lower; Thomas was marked down to 12.80, Dora and Nemo were 8.00 and the art center game was 7.20. Using my two $3 off coupons, I got all four for 32.00 and I didn’t think that was too bad. We’re getting her the Click Start for Christmas, so this was a good start.

Ok Ladies… I bought two LeapFrog Tag Books at K-Mart. SpongeBob Squarepants “The Tour de Bikini Bottom” (5-7 yrs) and Kung Fu Panda “Po’s Tasty Training” (4-6 yrs). I paid .80 each!
They also had two I Spy, and about 6 Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends “The Golden Paddle Ball”. They are priced at $7 but may not have been marked down. I am going to print out more coupons and go back. K-Mart is only 5 minutes from my house.

I do not need these. My children have outgrown LeapFrog. They are up for grabs. Wanted to help out some of you who couldn’t find any. Make me an offer! I’m really not looking to make any money off of this. Just enough to cover price, s&h and my time (and printer ink).

We have to stick together and help each other out when we are able. I get tired of these good deals ending up on eBay!

Also… I did not get a catalina. Should I have? I need to know what the deal is on getting one before I asked customer service. I will be surprised if my K-Mart even has the machine!

one good thing is the coupon is good till the end of the year…I am thinking they had a couple at 12.48 because there were coupons that had the 10 dollar one gone!! so I was too late I think! I hate to miss out on a good deal :o(

By the way, for people still looking…I found this in the actual CLEARANCE SECTION, not on the shelf by the regular LeapPads. My clearance section was all the way at the end of the toy section on an end cap.

Good point, Jillian. I’d make sure to check all sections. I was surprised to find them in with the regular-priced items, but that doesn’t mean that’s where they’ll be located at your store.

I had my husband stop by the store I found them at earlier this afternoon, and all of the ones I left behind were gone. Hope some of my readers lucked out!

Does anyone have the sku# that did buy it- it’s on the receipt. I went to my local Target and they did not have any clearance ones and I don’t feel like driving everywhere to find one, but it would make such a great gift.

I found kung fu panda, I spy, and olivia books at walmart on clearance for $5, use with the $4 coupon and they’re only $1 each. Doesn’t beat the $.80, but I couldn’t find them at k-mart. Also, my target did not have any for clearance….waiting for another deal hopefully soon!

I’ve had no luck finding them here in the St. Louis area. Went to several Target stores and searched both the regular aisle and the clearance aisles and endcaps. Didn’t bother going to any Kmart stores to look for the books since we only have a few in the area I just figured I wouldn’t have any luck and would be wasting my time. Glad to hear that others have been able to find them!

Amanda – I have books available.
You can contact me at [email protected].

I went back and bought 4 more ! This is what I have

1 Kung Fu Panda (4-6 yrs)
    2 SpongeBob (5-7 yrs)
    3 I Spy “Imagine That!” (4-6 yrs)

Paid .80 + tax (7.75 – NC tax was just raised a penny)

They still had The Foster’s Imaginary Friends if anybody wants them – they’ll be .80 also.

I would like to be able to share with others also.

Also, I did get a $5 catalina this time – they said it’s random !? Not sure I will be using it since it has to be used on a single item of $5 or more.

Don’t bother if you are in St. Louis…I had them do a location check and the Jennings Store showed 8…they searched for me over the phone and could not find the right one with the Ozzie and Mack book. My guess is that they are in the back room hiding somewhere. Oh well, would have been a great deal!

NOTHING at the 3 Targets in Lehigh Valley, PA….BUT 3 different K-Marts brought me some unbelievable savings. 4 Read Along/Sing along book/DVD set on clearance for 11.20 each (all clearance toys additional 20% off), 4 Leap Frog game (like a Simon toy for little ones) marked down to $9.60 each…I was able to use the $10 coupons on each of these (even the $9.60 item). 2 Tag books marked at $5.60 each (and used the $5 off coupon on those, a Baby Leap Frog spinning alphabet toy marked to $15.60 (used both the $10 mfr. and $5 catalina)…needless to say, I got some serious Christmas/birthday shopping done this afternoon (I’ve got 10 nieces and nephews, 6 of them under the age of 4). I may try Walmart just to see what they have. I spent more on tax than on the toys…I think my grand total for all 3 stores was about $12 for all the Leap Frog products!
