Caress Fresh Collection at Walmart | Win a $250 Walmart GC!

November 15, 2014 by Tara Kuczykowski

Experience freshness like never before with the Caress Fresh Collection body wash and soap. Featuring Emerald Rush, Juicy Escape and Aqua Sparkle, the Caress Fresh Collection will surprise your senses with revitalizing scents while enveloping your body in a rich lather, leaving your skin delicately scented and beautifully fresh.

I had no idea that Caress had this new line of body washes and soaps out… I’m not sure which scent I want to try out first, but I’m leaning toward the Juicy Escape. The pink grapefruit and lily fragrance sounds like a great pick-me-up on cold winter mornings.!

Erin Condren Holiday Cards + $200 ErinCondren.com Giveaway

November 14, 2014 by Tara Kuczykowski 62 Comments

Okay, I’m telling you that if you haven’t ordered your Christmas cards for this year yet, you NEED to head over to ErinCondren.com right now. They sent me the most gorgeous assortment of cards that I’ve ever seen so that I could see how lovely they are in person.

I wish that I could send you all one so that you could see the amazing quality of these Erin Condren holiday cards firsthand too, but unfortunately that would be quite an undertaking… However, I did try my best to take some photos that capture their beauty!

Erin Condren offers lovely colorful layouts and designs, and the images print sharp and clear. And you simply won’t believe how rich it feels to hold one of the double-thick cards in your hand. Yes, I said double-thick, as in slapping two pieces of regular card stock together for each one of these cards.

And, oh, the back of these cards…

The most stunning feature is actually the back of these cards — real gold foil stamped embellishments paired with vibrant color. Talk about luxurious! This is a card to treasure.

ErinCondren.com offers so much more than holiday cards, though. From customized planners and notebooks to stickers to personalized clutches and adorable acrylic trays… and more, you’re sure to find the perfect gift for everyone on your list.

The Party Pops Monogram Luggage is at the top of my wishlist right now! I mean, how adorable is that? And easy to find in the sea of black and charcoal gray usually found in an airport.

Be sure to check out the Erin Condren Holiday Gift Guide for tons of ideas for the holidays and beyond!

Game Day Buffalo Chicken Dip + Win 1 of 4 Pregame Pride Prize Packs (Includes $20 Sam’s Club GC!)

November 6, 2014 by Tara Kuczykowski 2 Comments

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Okay, NCAA fans — there’s a LOT of action happening this weekend… You can bet that I’ll be in front of the TV watching Ohio State and Michigan State square off (Go Bucks!!!), along with one of my favorite strawberry daiquiris and this ah-mazing buffalo chicken dip to snack on!

Preparing delicious game day snacks is always part of our pregame routine. And I’m totally serious when I say that if you don’t have the ingredients for this buffalo chicken dip on hand, you need to get to the store before Saturday — it’s that good. If you have a Sam’s Club membership, their Member’s Mark canned chicken breast is fantastic in this recipe!

Image 1

Show your pregame pride by creating an NCAA highlight reel sponsored by Dove Men + Care, AXE, and Degree. Whether it’s a throwback to your glory days, your child’s winning goal or tailgating with friends, capture the memories then share them online!

I have a feeling that with 3 boys, I’m going to need to buy stock in these brands soon. They definitely like to, uh, make sure that they smell good — but they do have a tendency to overdo it a bit! At least stocking up on AXE and Degree at Sam’s Club makes their obsession a little more affordable…

Image 1

Would you like to win a Pregame Pride prize pack? Four lucky Deal Seeking Mom readers will win this awesome prize package which includes one Degree Adrenaline Series Cool Rush Anti-Perspirant & Deodorant, one AXE Peace Body Spray, and one $20 Sam’s Club Gift Card!!!

Simply fill out the mobile-friendly form below to be entered to win:

NCAA_SC_Deal Seeking Mom

Enter daily through 11:59 p.m. PT on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 to win this package valued at $28! In the meantime, visit your local Sam’s Club to stock up and save on products that will enhance your pregame rituals.

How To Shop at Warehouse Clubs Without Blowing Your Budget + $50 Huggies Giveaway!

October 29, 2014 by Tara Kuczykowski 64 Comments

The ultra-low prices, the oversize carts, the free samples… Warehouse clubs are innately designed to get you to part with your hard-earned money. Can you really save money by buying in bulk at your local Sam’s Club, Costco or BJ’s???

The truth is, yes, shopping warehouse clubs can be a great way to save money, BUT you’re going to have to do some smart shopping and have some serious willpower. So before you ever step foot in your local Costco, et al, learn these rules for shopping and take them to heart.

7 Rules for Shopping at Warehouse Clubs

Start with a list.
Wandering aimlessly through a warehouse club is a surefire way to empty your wallet. Even if your list isn’t super specific (I know at first you may not be familiar with exactly what products they carry), at least having a general plan of attack will help you keep more cash in your wallet. At the very least, you should have a firm spending limit in mind before you walk through the door.

Know your limits.
Sure, those huge bulk packages can save you a lot of money, but if you can’t use the quantity before the items spoils, you’re probably wasting more money than you saved. If you’re doing a large freezer cooking session, sure, you can probably use up that massive bag of onions. If not, well, you should probably skip that purchase — or consider going in with a friend to split the bounty while still saving.

Compare prices.
Price out your grocery bulk buys per item and compare the unit price to your local grocery store to ensure that you’re really saving. The larger packaging can make the unit price very deceiving, so keeping a calculator handy is a must. If you keep a price book, you already have a head start on this, but if not, grab a small memo pad and just jot down the items you buy most frequently along with the prices every so often to verify that you’re really getting the most for your money. The same goes for big ticket items — always do a price check for the exact make and model to ensure that you’re really getting a stellar price.

Avoid the middle of the store.
While I usually avoid the middle of the store at grocery stores because I’m trying to steer clear of processed foods, I also avoid them at warehouse stores — but for a different reason. Warehouse clubs typically stock the middle of the store with their biggest impulse buys, so if you’re lacking in willpower, just avoid that section all together.

Don’t forget your coupons.
While only BJ’s accepts manufacturer’s coupons, both Sam’s Club and Costco offer store coupons. If you’re not using them, you’re missing out on additional savings that could turn a so-so price into a stellar deal!

Understand the pricing.
Merchandise moves fast at warehouse clubs, and it’s a roll of the dice as to whether a particular item will be available on your next visit. Luckily, these insider tips can help you make an educated guess. At Costco, prices that end in a 7 indicate a clearance item. Also, an asterisk on a sign means that the item is limited to the stock in the store and won’t be reordered (a good indicator whether or not that tempting buy will be available on your next trip). Sam’s Club’s clearance prices end in a penny (ex. $7.91) and/or the signs are marked with a “C”. Sales prices at BJ’s are clearly marked.

Gift cards are the hidden gems. Though the brands turn over frequently, you can frequent purchase top-tier gift cards for less than face value at warehouse clubs. The catch is you often have to spend upwards of $50 to get the savings, but with the savings often being close to 20%, you can save a bundle if they’re establishments visit often.

I realize that many of these strategies are comparable to those that we use in our everyday grocery shopping, but they can also help you shop wisely at warehouse clubs!

Do you have a warehouse club membership, and if so, what are favorite items to purchase there? Share in the comments and you could win a Huggies prize package valued at $50!
