If you’ve got kids, you’re probably familiar with Box Tops for Education. You clip the box tops from participating products and send them to the school of your choice. In return, the school redeems them for cash from General Mills.
It’s a great way to help your child’s school pull in a little extra money to help with programs that aren’t fully funded. However, I’m willing to bet a lot of parents don’t participate for a variety of reasons. Maybe they don’t know about the program. Maybe they don’t want to fuss with storing them until they have a good amount to send to the school. Or maybe they just don’t think their small contribution will have much impact (although, as I always try to stress, a little bit here and there adds up to a lot).
Regardless of the reasons for not participating, you should definitely take another look. Box Tops for Education now offers a brand new way to help your child’s school generate some extra funds!
It’s as simple as registering with their new Box Tops Marketplace. Just register with the school of your choice, click on the “marketplace” tab, and you can shop at more than 70 retailers, including JCPenney, OfficeMax, Walmart, Target, Lands’ End, and Oriental Trading Company, all while earning a little extra for your child’s school.
But there’s even more! If you register between September 2nd and November 2nd, Box Tops is doing a Shopping Challenge. First-time marketplace shoppers will earn an additional 5 box tops for their school with their first marketplace purchase, and you can also earn an additional 5 by opting in to receive marketplace emails. Imagine how much money you could help your child’s school raise by adding this one small step when making an online purchase.
