My favorite holiday dish is Russian Tea. So alright, it’s not technically “a dish”, but it’s the yummiest thing we have this time of year. I would be happy just drinking gallons of this and skipping the big meal. It’s full of cloves, cinnamon, orange juice, pineapple juice, tea, lemonade and other holiday spices. When I’m looking for inspiration, I like to hit the websites of food companies where I’ve signed up for coupons; they always have good lists of recipes to try.

I am a fan of the basic staples. I love the ham and green bean casserole! Usually we have mashed potatoes every year, which I love, but this year we are trying cheesy potatoes instead. I’m really looking forward to the food!

I love mini mince meat pies at Christmas because my grandmother used to make them. A good turkey and some corn pudding and rolls hit the spot too.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
