I don’t have a favorite dish, but I do enjoy making cookies. My mom and I used to make Hungarian filled cookies another yummy cookie called Michigan Rocks. Mom passed away last year so I couldn’t bring myself to make the cookies alone.
This year my cousin and I decided that we wanted to keep the tradition going. We made those two types of cookies today as a matter of fact. It felt good to get back in the saddle.

Not exactly a holiday “dish”, but homemade hot chocolate (with marshmallows, of course)!

My family loves chocolate peanut butter balls! They are very easy to make and the Christmas season would not be complete without this treat at my house.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls
2 cups crunchy peanut butter
1/2 cup softened butter
4 cups powdered sugar
2 cups Rice Krispies cereal
1 lb. package of chocolate almond bark
Measure and mix peanut butter, butter and powdered sugar. Stir in Rice Krispies cereal 1 cup at a time, mixing well. Form small balls approximately the size of a bon bon. Chill for 60-90 minutes. When finished chilling melt 3-4 squares of almond bark in a small microwave proof bowl for 90 seconds and stir, chocolate should be liquid consistency for coating. Place 2-3 balls in bowl rolling around until covered with chocolate. remove with a spoon and place on waxed paper to set. Continue until all balls are coated. Recipe should make 3-4 dozen depending on how large you make the balls. These freeze well. Enjoy!!

My favorite holiday dish would be a green bean casserole that is made by someone in the family for our “potluck” get together. We have one for Thanksgiving and one for Christmas. My favorite dessert is Pumpkin Roll… Yum Yum.

My hubby makes the best fudge; we make it for every Christmas party, give it as gifts & of course enjoy it on Christmas day!
