My favorite holiday dish is my dad’s famous yam dish! He passed away 2 years ago and it reminds me and my sister how great it was to have him around and the yam taste even better NOW than it ever did! Miss you dad.

Every year I make frosted pumpkin cookies. They’re really labor intensive, but SO worth it! It’s a once a year treat.

I am slowly simplifiying my Christmas meal. This year I am considering Ham, roast potatoes, sweet potato souffle, peas with onions, and pineapple upside-down cake. I think the cake will look Christmasy with marashino cherries on top. I will have whipped cream topping too. There will also be a few cookies and nuts probably for those who want them. I would love to win this prize!

Although I love the traditional turkey and/or ham for Christmas, I truly love having prime rib. I find that there is so much less stress having prime rib, scalloped potatoes au gratin, green beans with ham, rolls & pie for desert. I used to wear myself out preparing the turkey dinner with all the trimmings.
