December 30, 2009 by Tara Kuczykowski 13 Comments

Safeway has an awesome promotion on Nabisco crackers through January 5th! They’re priced at $2 per box, plus you’ll earn an instant $5 savings when you buy five boxes. Plus you can submit for the $10 Kraft Holiday Crackers rebate to turn this into a money maker!

Here’s how to maximize the deal:

Buy (10) Nabisco Crackers at $2
Get $10 instant Safeway Savings w/ Club Card

Use (5) $1/2 Nabisco Crackers, exp. 1-31-10 (SS 12/13/09)
Submit for $10 Kraft Holiday Crackers rebate
$5 money maker after instant savings, coupons, and rebate!

Other coupons you can use:

  • $1/1 Wheat Thins printable
  • $1/1 Wheat Thins Flatbread Cracker printable (IE) or printable (FF)
  • $1/1 Nabisco Crackers or Easy Cheese, exp. 12-31-09 (SS 11/8/09)
  • $1/2 Nabisco Crackers (Back To School Booklet)

Even without any coupons you’d be able to score 10 FREE boxes of Nabisco crackers after instant savings and rebate, so this is definitely a great opportunity to stock up!

Thanks, Frugal Chic Living!

Rachel, I don’t have a Safeway near me, so I’m not an expert on their policies. However, that’s the way Rachel had the scenario setup, so I’m assuming you can buy all 10 in a single transaction.

I just got off with my local Tom Thumb (820 S. MacArthur in Coppell, TX) and they are doing this, but you can only do 5 in a transaction. Thanks for the heads up! I haven’t seen this on any other couponing blogs.

Is this regional? I see that wheat thins is $2 for $4, but nothing about the additional instant savings in our ad. :-(

My ad didn’t mention the additional savings either, but once in the store, the yellow tags mentioned it. I did it and it worked great. In fact I used the $1/1 coupons that expired last night and will net an $8 overage once the MIR comes. Again, thank you so much for the heads up!

There is also a $1 off Wheat Thins coupon printable when you become a fan on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/wheatthins?ref=mf – You will see it on the left side a few ads down after you become a fan.
