I just printed out these coupons. Mine say’s Hula Umbrella 6ft. Price $39.99, Coupon Value $25.00. Now Only ( $14.99 ) with coupon. The Market Umbrella is Now Only ( $24.99 ) with coupon. Coupon value $25.00 because it was $49.99. You also can’t use the $5.00 off coupon because you haven’t spent the $25.00 yet. Where does the Free come in? Maybe I am missing something. Could someone explain, please? Thanks, Suze

Mary Sue, you hand over the $5 off $25 coupon first, because a money off transaction coupon is deducted from the total first. Then you hand over the $25 off coupon making the umbrella free.

The coupon is not a $25.00 coupon. It say’s you save $25.00. The Umbrella is $14.99 with the coupon. Maybe your coupon is different from mine. Sorry.

    Hi Mary Sue,

There are 2 coupons you are supposed to use. One is for $5.00 off a purchase of $25.00. Hand that one over first. Then you hand the cashier the 2nd coupon that saves you $25.00 off the umbrella. The sale price at all Rite Aid stores is 25% off the $39.99, dropping the price down to $29.99. Check out the circular. This is a nationwide sale, valid only until 6/23.

Does that make sense? I hope it is more clear. I got mine 2 days ago, and paid $0.33 out of pocket!!

And going back tomorrow for another one!!

Just wondering how in the world anyone is able to use both the $5.00 off $25.00 purchase and the $25.00 off umbrella coupons when BOTH coupons clearly state that they “MAY NOT BE COMBINED WITH ANY OTHER OFFERS”!

I seem to be having trouble opening the .pdf files. I’m not sure why though? Is there another file type for them?

I truly do not understand this deal. But, I’m going to my Rite Aid tomorrow and hand them my $5 coupon and then my save $25 coupon and see what happens. I’ll all let you know if I get my umbrella or not. Hope I do!

I’m with Mary Sue. I don’t get it. he coupon reads, Price 39.99, coupon value $25. Now only $14.99 w/coupon. So if I give them my $5/$25 first and then the $25. coupon. it would look like thes: 39.99 – 5.00 -25.00 = 9.99 + tax . So I don’t get the free part? If you did snag it could you show us how the receipt printed it up?

Deal seems sorta.. sketchy. Well.. not entirely sketchy.. but certainly YMMV.

Even at $10.. a pretty good deal. So.. may stop by anyhoo.

    Junesummer,

I know this is confusing. I think from what Tara said, the umbrella’s price is not $39 before any discounts (as the coupon states), it’s $29 because it’s been marked down. When you take $5 off, then $25 off, it’s free. I hope this is right. I am going to get mine today.

Are those coupons available in-store at all, or are they exclusive internet printables? My hubby’s already left for work for the day, and I’d love to have him snag one of these if there’s a way for him to get a coupon while he’s out!

OK you made a believer out of me. I went in bought the first one, rang up .26 cents owed. Went to do a second deal and cashier said, couldn’t use both coupons because they were both rite aid coupons, (she had been scrutinizing them while I went to get 2nd umbrella) I asked her how much I would owe for 2nd one, and she used the coupons and guess what .26! She said her sister is getting married July 4th I told her it is going to be 95 degrees, so she asked what site I got the coupons from so she could snag some for the wedding! Thanksagain!

I went this morning and was able to get one for $4.99.

Not free, but the manager said I could only use one coupon so I chose the $25 one. The unbrellas are on sale for $29.99.

Not free, but $4.99 for a $40 unbrella is still a great deal for me.

Ohh too bad I live in Wags/CVS country. I think it is a great deal even for under $10. I never knew how much a patio umbrella would cost until our broke last summer. :( They can be quite costly.

I just got back from Rite Aid they had 2 umbrellas left but wouldn’t let me combine coupons. I didn’t end up getting one since I didn’t really need it (but would have found a use for it if it was free!)

We went to Rite Aid this morning, and we too were told we couldn’t use both coupons. So we didn’t buy the umbrella, but we did get the free-after-rebate Crest toothpaste while we were there!

I can’t figure out how/why you are able to do this when it clearly states on both coupons that they may NOT be comibined with any other offers. I’m all for free but I’m also all for doing the right thing and not cheating the company.

Does anyone know if there is a coupon code for the coupons so that I can order it online? They do not have a rite aid where I live. The umbrellas are 29.99 on line and free shipping . With these coupons it would really be a good buy.

Meg, it’s no different than using the $/$$ coupon with a in-ad coupon which is essentially what the PDF coupons are. Even if they won’t let you combine them, $4.99 is a great deal.
