I think that if you use the $4 Zyrtec coupons on two packages, that you will not receive the $10 Riteaid Certificate (when you buy $50 worth of Zyrtec products). I just looked at the fine print on the Riteaid site and it says the following:
    • $50 purchase requirement is determined before sales tax, is calculated less any coupon discounts and excludes the purchase of prescriptions and prescription co-pays.

So if you buy two packages at $26.99 each and use the $4 coupon on each one, they will be $22.99 each (for a total of $45.98) and you will not reach the $50 amount to receive the $10 Riteaid gift certificate.

However, here is another possible deal:
You can do three SEPARATE transactions as follows:
Buy one Zyrtec at $26.99, use the $5 off $25 coupon which can be found at: https://content.riteaid.com/rabrand/email_coupon_4G.pdf, then use the $4 Zyrtec coupon. This will cost you $17.99. Repeat this transaction two more times (so you will need to print three Zyrtec coupons and three of the $5 off $25 coupons). The total spent on Zyrtec after coupons will be $17.99*3 = 53.97, which is over $50, so you can get the $10 Riteaid certificate, in addition to the two SCRs and mail-in rebate mentioned in the original post. This is just slightly better than free once you add the postage for the stamp for the mail-in-rebate. You’ll pay $53.97 plus the price of a stamp and should receive $55 back.

I’ve already bought products towards the Allergy SCR #500 (shooting for the $25 GC on $50 worth of purchases), and the pre-coupon total is showing up. I got the $19.99 Claritin last week for about $1 ($19.99 -$3 in-ad Q, -$7 one-week MFR Q, -$5 SCR, proportionately -$4 of the $5/$25 used on the whole purchase). I was expecting $9.99 or at best $16.99 to appear on my SCR list, but I’m seeing the full amount. I only just registered today’s Mini Drops receipt (FAR item, and used $1 IP), so we’ll see how that shows up.

So I’m planning to do this with just 2 packs – if I’m wrong, it’ll only affect my $10/$50 Zyrtec deal, but I reckon there will be an opportunity to make up the shortfall before the deadline.

Don’t forget to add this rebate in the mix:
    RA #15 MAY 2009 (valid 4/26/09 – 5/30/09), 2.00 wyb Zyrtec 10mg 45ct

I don’t think I saw it in your post? I have heard that some people have received the $10 RA certificates when they used the Manufacturer Coupons, but not when using the RA coupons. (not the $5.00/25, just the RA for the Zyrtec) I am going to try it tomorrow with purchasing two and I will let ya know how it works.

Thanks, everyone! I don’t actually have a Rite Aid near enough to me to shop regularly, so if you guys can share how it turns out, that would be great! Wish we did because my husband has severe seasonal allergies.

Um…this also qualifies for Rebate #50, the Johnson & Johnson one worth $10 back on $25. It’s on the list of qualifying products. I feel like I must be imagining all the ways these deals stack up on such a simple purchse: a $2 or $3 SCR, a $25 allergy gift card, a $10 Zyrtec MIR, a $10 Zyrtec-Rite Aid deal, and now a $10 Johnson & Johnson one. Even if you didn’t have a single coupon or $5/$25, two of these 45ct packs would end up making you $3. With two each of the $4 Qs and $5/$25, we’re looking at a $21 MM if I’m right about the coupons not being deducted from the totals. Oh, break out the smelling salts – and cross your finger that RA stays in business for at least 2 more months!

I did the Rite-Aid Zyrtec deal last month and found that the rite-aid $4 off coupon was deducted from the retail amount going towards the Zyrtec rebate after my first transaction.
Then I used the Manufacturer Coupons (RP 3/15 and RP 4/26 $4 off Zyrtec Medicine 24 ct or larger ) for the next two transactions and they were not deducted.

So buy the Zyrtec in two transactions as shown below:
    Buy:
    (1) Zyrtec $26.99
    Use:
    (1) -$5 off $25 Rite Aid coupon
    (1) -$4 Zyrtec 24ct RP 3/15 or 4/26
    Total: 17.99
Repeat in a second transaction and spent total of $35.98 out of pocket

    Then you get back $37 in rebates ($2 SRC #15 + $25 Allergy + $10 Zyrtec)!

Awesome deal!!! wish I could do the Allergy one again! :)
Oh and the Zyrtec $10 certificate just arrived in the mail yesterday, which much faster than I expected for rite aid… yay!!!

OH MY GOODNESS… I just read MoneyMateKate’s post just above mine and I didn’t include the MIR for $10 and Johnson & Johnson $10 rebate in my totals… Now I really wish I could do the Allergy rebate again and make $21 profit!

Guess I will just have to settle for two more Zyrtec packs for $3.98!!! :) Thank you so much!!!!!

The johnson and johnson products should be free. They are listed as $1.99 in my ad -$1 in ad coupon – $1 man. coup.

Mrs. Den, the in-ad coupon states one per customer and also is a manufacturer coupon, so you can’t use them both together. Too bad – that would have been a great deal!

When it starts with RC that means Rite Aid coupon, even though it says manufacturer coupon. I have used them together tons of times.

Even if they tell you you have to use it last, don’t fret, the computer(at least in all of the rite aids around here and there are several) still reads your original total and will take it off.

Katie, the individual stores have the right to do this. My most convenient one is very anti-$5/$25, so I go elsewhere. As much as I’d like to point out that the individual store has missed out on $200 worth of my business this month and the RA chain lost another $100 worth because the deals were worth walking 5 blocks for but not 25, I don’t think it would matter.

Vivian, new corporate policy (it’s been in effect for about 6 weeks) is that they accept one per transaction. Even my lousy Rite Aid takes it. Sounds like your store isn’t up-to-date on this.

I haven’t ever shopped at Rite Aid before. When I go to enter the receipts online, do I only have to do it once and they are automatically entered for both the #50 $10 rebate, and the $10 from zyrtec, and then what about the $25 Rite Aid gift card for #500 rebate?

Enter the receipts once and I’ll automatically get all of those?

alliegator- I wasn’t sure of this myself. I went ahead and just entered the receipts online (I did 3 separate transactions) and I got the #50 johnson’s $10 rebate, $10 from Zyrtec (although I also entered the receipts at the same time for the separate zyrtec rewards) $2 from #15, and the $25 gc from #500. I will also be mailing in the receipts for the $10 zyrtec mail-in rebate. yay!!

I just wanted to update that you DO NOT have to buy three packages to do this deal. You can do the two packages and use the red plum coupons. I updated the deal on my site.

I just got my update from Rite Aid’s website- I got the $25 gift card, the $2 rebate, and one $10 rebate- the manager who rang up my purchase did one transaction where he rang the $5 off coupon twice, and I didn’t catch it until later, I went back in, and paid $5 more dollars, but I didn’t think about needing to cancel the entire messed up transaction and redoing it, so I think I’m a few $ short for the other $10 rebate. I think I’ll just go get a children’s zyrtec since I need some anyway. It wont’ be a money maker for me, but we’ll be stocked up with some very inexpensive allergy medicine.

alliegator — Zyrtec reward doesnt show on “My rebate status” page, you should click the link on bottom, “To see your Rite Aid – ZYRTEC® Rewards status, click here”, new page will tell you if qualified or not and how much credit you have for this reward. I think you ARE qualified and you should have some balance for next 10 reward.

Chan- thank you- I went and checked again and you are right. I did get the $10 zyrtec reward, and I have $18 or so towards another one. Not sure if we’ll get any more though, I guess it will depend on how much my kids use theirs this summer- I don’t have as big of a supply for them.

That is an awesome deal- I spent $53 or something, and I’ll be getting back $57.
