A lot of your deals presume that Rite Aids will accept a coupon for a B1G1 offer. We have three Rite Aid stores in my town and none of them will accept coupons for a free item. They say that if they accept a coupon for a free item, it’s like accepting a coupon for an item not sold, which is fraud. They have a point. Do you really have Rite Aid stores that accept coupons for free items?

@Terri, I live in NEPA and all of the Rite Aid’s I go to all accept the BOGO coupons. They tell me that as long as the sale does not equal zero, then it’s ok. I just buy something small as “filler”.

I went to my local Rite Aid today, got 5 boxes of the Renu travel solution (used the printable $1 coupon on each) and I found a box of Clairol Perfect 10 hair color on clearance for $5.99 (used a $5 off coupon). Spent a whole $1 on everything! Love that!

That’s not exactly true that it’s fraud. Or even remotely true for that matter. When you use a BOGO coupon, the store is still SELLING the item to you, only the manufacturer is the one who is paying the actual money for the product (with typically an additional 8 cents for their trouble).

I shop at Rite Aid regularly and have never had a problem with them accepting BOGO coupons, even on sales when THEY were selling something BOGO, and I had a BOGO coupon, I ended up getting BOTH products free. Because the store paid for one, and the manufacturer paid for the other :)

Okay, maybe I misunderstood. What I was talking about was using two mfg coupons on a BOGO deal. So if you buy 2 razors on a BOGO, and each one is $7.99, and you have two $4 mfg coupons, our stores will only accept one of the $4 coupons for one of the razors because the other one was free. If I have a BOGO coupon on a BOGO item, I would be able to get THREE of the razors for $3.99 ($7.99 – $4 coupon). Are you saying that your stores will accept two regular mfg coupons on a BOGO item?

Yup, absolutely! It’s actually smarter for them to accept coupons on BOGO items, because instead of just giving the item away for free, they’re getting money back from the manufacturer for an item they gave away.

I would email or call corporate about the b1g1 issue. I did and they called the manager to correct them. And it made me feel slot better that I wasn’t doing something wrong ;-) it is do worth taking the time to call with all the bogo deals at ra.

I have been getting the Nivea lip care for free this week by pairing the BOGO coupon with the $1 off any Nivea.

Is Gillette shave gel “shave prep” because their is a coupon for free shower gel when you buy Shave prep? That would make the sale even better!

Diaper deal scenario: Do the buy one get one half off deal-1st pack is $10.99, second pack is $5.50 which totals $16.49, then use the $3/$15. So you can get 2 packs of diapers for $6.75 each. I actually did this and had $3.00 in huggies coupons. So, I got 2 packs of diapers for $10.49. That is $5.25 a pack! Yay!

Last Sunday’s PARADE magizine (in the newspaper) had a $4 off coupon for Prevacid and a Rebate for up to $25.99 on Prevaid. Pair that with the $10 off RA video values and you have a moneymaker.
    $28.99 42ct Prevacid
    -4.00 MFR coupon
    -10.00 RA Video values
    -5.00 RA $5 off a $20 purchase
    9.99 OOP
Rebate good for full price -$4 coupon, so rebate of $24.99 equals $15.00 Money maker!!

Sara, the Video Values coupon for Prevacid is also a manufacturer coupon so you can’t pair it with another manu coupon, unfortunately.
