It’s back!!! It seems they’ve worked out the kinks since they sent out the $10 GC invitation-only offers last week, and now everyone can earn a $5 Sears gift certificate at AdPerk. It states limited quantities, so hurry over to claim yours by simply watching a few advertising video clips. I promise it won’t take much time at all!

AdPerk: Check Your Emails!!!

I posted about about getting free magazine subscriptions by watching videos on AdPerk back in May. If you’ve signed up with them, be sure to check your emails for a special invitation-only offer (mine was in my spam folder)! If you received this special offer, you’ll be able to watch videos on the latest Kenmore appliances to earn a free $10 gift certificate for Sears.

If you haven’t yet signed up with AdPerk, I’d highly recommend that you take a minute to do it now. They sent out a survey recently asking how members would feel about watching videos to earn gift certificates to various stores (including CVS!!!), so it seems like this may be something they will be offering regularly in the future.

Plus they’re still offering free subscriptions to Parenting, Ode, Popular Science, and Field & Stream currently, with many more marked as coming soon.

Here’s another great tip – If you won’t read a magazine, perhaps you know someone else that would love it. You can have the subscription transferred into their name by contacting their subscriber services and turn it into a great free gift!

Frucall: Be A Smart Shopper!

I happened upon Frucall in a magazine about a month ago, and I wanted to try it a few times before sharing it with everyone. I’ve been very pleased with the site thus far, and while I’m especially excited to utilize it in my Christmas shopping, it’s going to be a fabulous shopping aid year round.

Using Frucall you can compare the prices on items you’re considering purchasing right there in the store utilizing one of three methods.

Call 1-888-DO-FRUCALL (1-888-363-7822), enter in the barcode, and their automated system will give you a list of the best prices found online.
Send a text message with the barcode to FRU11 (37811).
Enter the barcode on their mobile website at www.frucall.com/m.

All methods are free through Frucall, but obviously on your end you’ll want to be conscious of what kind of plan you have with your cell phone provider. I love that you can choose what works best for you!

Once you’ve checked the prices, they have a boatload of other great features. Frucall automatically bookmarks your searches so you can pull them up again at home. You can also have them send a message to your friends about an item. If you’re calling Frucall, you can record a voice message to save for later. And you can even purchase the item directly through Frucall if you find a great price online!

In addition to the shopping tools, you can also schedule reminders for special occasions and setup PriceAlert texts to be notified when the price on a particular item falls below a limit you specify.

Getting the best price always works for me, and Frucall makes it easy and convenient!

Looking for a few more ways to earn some extra cash before Christmas? We’re now down to only 155 days, 2 hours, and 32 minutes!!! I ran across a few more survey sites recently to help you meet your goals.

While I can’t claim to have actually have been paid by these companies as I just joined them myself, I did research them thoroughly and they appear to be completely on the up and up. I make it a point of only posting deals on Deal Seeking Mom that appear to be completely legitimate. I’ve been doing the freebie huntin’, survey takin’, deal seekin’ thing for close to ten years now, and I like to think I have a pretty good ability to spot a scam. My goal is to help people stretch their budgets, certainly not to lead them into scams!

GeoTrax “Team GeoTrax – All Aboard!” DVD

Here’s another great free DVD from Fisher-Price, “Team GeoTrax — All Aboard!”.

And let me just tell you, if you have boys (or even girls, 3-year-old DD loves them too), this is seriously one of the greatest toys on earth . . . that is if you can refrain from running out and buying up every set you can get your hands on, which is what DH did a few years ago. We’re drowning in GeoTrax, but I’d say it was money well spent. My kids have spent countless hours setting up elaborate “trainscapes” and running their trains on the tracks. They are super easy to put together — my oldest has been doing it since he was 3 — and the possibilities are endless.

My only recommendation would be to invest in some rechargeable batteries, because each train alone uses somewhere around 6-7 batteries between the engine and the controller.
