Kmart Deals: Super Doubles and Super Triples

April 19, 2009 by Tara Kuczykowski 46 Comments

kmartThe much talked about Kmart Super Double/Super Triple event is here!

You can check out the double coupons list and the triple coupons list here on Deal Seeking Mom to see if your store is participating, or you can view your ad online at Kmart.com. However, please be aware that the listing at Kmart.com was not accurate for many areas last time.

Terms of the event:

  • KMart will be offering super double coupons at participating locations and triple coupons at select stores April 19-25.
  • Stores participating in super double coupons will double coupons with a value up to $2.
  • Stores participating in triple coupons will triple coupons with a value up to $0.75 and double coupons with a value up to $4.
  • There’s a limit of 25 coupons per customer per day.

Tips for organizing your shopping trip:

  • Leave the kids at home so you’re not distracted.
  • Keep your transaction small. Plan to buy all of the items you have coupons for together.
  • Compile a running list of the prices as you’re shopping.
  • Watch carefully as coupons are scanned to make sure they’re doubled/tripled correctly.
  • Check your receipt when you get to your car. Any adjustments can be made much more easily now than later.

Here’s just a few of my faves from the extensive list that Mercedes at Common Sense with Money put together. This doesn’t even scratch the surface, so be sure to check out her site too!

  1. Amy in Kansas

I went to Kmart in Hutchinson Kansas and nothing seemed to ring up right. I had what should of been about $40 worth of stuff and was charged over $80! Total rip off. I dont understand why it did not work. The lady scanned my coupons but appeared to not know what she was doing…because I only recieved a partial disount. I still cannot make any sense of the reciept. This is my first time couponing so if anyone can help me, I would appreciate it. [email protected]

Amy, it sounds like your coupons weren’t doubled. The only way to have it fixed is to take your receipt back to the customer service desk at the Kmart you purchased at. Good luck!

Yep, that’s right, Ilja! Some stores may have to double it manually, but you only need one coupons per item.

I went to one K-mart and they were so rude I filled a complaint with corporate. They would not take my internet coupons. I was told by corporate they would not accept internet coupons, but were sorry the lady was rude to me. I then got a call from the store manager. I gotta call him back, maybe I will get some freebes for that? LOL

Anyways. A K-Mart 5 miles away took the internet coupons and me and the guy cashier had a good laugh over the ordeal since none of my coupons would scan and a female cashier came over and it worked. I saved over $30 and he was super nice.

my kmarts (two of them) in the kc area took everything! didnt even look at them as long as they scanned

    subtotal 197.78
total after coupons 32.49- and that is only purchasing what i needed anyway- everything else that was a luxury or something i wouldnt buy anyway (like some fragrance items) i only purchased if they were under 25 cents!

also the $5 off 50 worked for me both times as did the scotts coupon for 2.99 after 50 dollar purchase

My Kmart in Anaheim, CA did not accept internet coupons. I emailed HQ and this is the response that I got:

Thank you for your recent correspondence regarding internet coupons. We are always interested in hearing from our customers, and appreciate yourinterest in shopping with us.
Kmart stores are now accepting internet coupons. Internet coupons will not be doubled nor tripled during the double coupon events. Please be aware that we can only accept the coupon if it will scan at the registers. We are unable to manually enter internet coupons. Kmart will not accept coupons for more than about 75% of a product’s value. Coupons will be rejected if they appear distorted or blurry, altered in any way, or are obvious duplicates. Kmart will not accept “FREE product” (no purchase required) print-at-home coupons. Buy one get one free coupons and other values that have a purchase requirement are acceptable.
If your local store continues to refuse coupons meeting the above
    requirements, please let us know.
Once again, thank you for contacting us about using internet coupons. We appreciate your business and value you as a Sears Holdings customer. We certainly hope you will continue to make Sears Holdings your choice for quality and value.
    Sincerely,

    Joanne J.

i wouldnt- unless they deny you the use of them all together in store

as long as they scan they are being doubled
ive tried four stores and all doubled internet
also on my internet ones very few say do not double so therefore they will still get their value back for them

    Hi Ladies

My receipt says that Kmart is going to do double coupons again on May 3rd. Does anyone know if in fact this is true. I tried to email corp headquarters and was told that they do not know when the next double coupon event will be held.
I got such great deals on dog treats that I am looking forward to my next adventure. I took my girlfriend with me and she just could not believe the amount of money that I was saving on every trip. I shopped every day for different treats for five dogs (2 are mine, 1 my parents and 2 my girlfriend). Some days I shopped at 2 Kmarts for the great deals. My bills would be any where from $55-75 and I would only pay $9-18. I was able to buy Jumbones, Good Bites, Begging Strips (all varities), Carvers and T-Bonz.

I’ve heard that they are doing doubles again starting 5/3. If anyone gets confirmation on stores that are participating, I’m happy to start an ongoing list again on my site!

I took my items back with my reciept (new to couponing). My coupons were not doubled. I also made the mistake of taking my kids along and it was near closing time when I was ready to check out. I was not about to argue over the coupons being doubled at closing…the girl had already told me it was correct, which it was not. I went over my reciept and marked the prices I should of paid for items that I knew, and went back, and the manager did his best to correct the mistake and tripled my coupons to make up for my inconvience. It was well worth my time to go back to the store and question the price and show them with the reciept that items were not doubled. I ended up getting $90 worth of stuff for $1.21!!! Not bad for a first time experience.
