I have an Electric Orange, and I was able to get a bonus (only $25 at the time) when I signed up even though I have several Orange Savings accounts, so I think you should still qualify!

How would I do signature transactions? I never have to do that with debit purchases.

No minimum. Make sure your readers know that they have to make 3 Signature Transactions. You can buy something as little as .50 bublegum, but when you make your purchase make sure you process it as a “credit”.

It says that it will still take out the initial deposit before you even verify the account but it wants me to put in my bank information before it tells me what the initial deposit is? Does anyone know how much it is for the very first one they take out to open your account with them?

Just signed up–opened with $25. I have a different bank account that I have to make debit card transactions each month (to be awarded the bonus) and I usually reserve these transactions for those $1 or less amounts I spend at CVS, WAG or the grocery!
I do question just as Mari does–what is a “signature transaction”?

A signature transaction is when you use a debit card but request that it be processed like a credit card. So instead of entering your PIN after swiping it, hit cancel and then select credit to process it as a credit card and sign the receipt.

I would NEVER EVER open an account with ING. One of my Roth IRAs was bought out by them because a bank closed. Needless to say, it was a PAIN to get ING to roll it over to another bank. They were VERY hard to deal with. I would not do it for a million bucks!

Sorry, typing too fast…it is a hard credit report inquiry. There are two types that can be pulled…hard or soft. They should only be pulling a soft inquiry for a checking account, but some institutions pull a hard inquiry for whatever reason. Hard inquiries can affect your credit, soft do not.
