How’s Your Electrasol/Finish Stockpile?

January 25, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski 45 Comments

Have you been stockpiling dishwasher detergent with the $2.50/1 Finish or Electrasol coupon that was in the 1/3 Smartsource insert? If not, there’s still time to order some coupons from eBay or a coupon clipping service and use them before they expire on 1-31-10.

All together (including the $8.35 I spent on coupons) I spent slightly over $18 for 22 boxes of Electrasol/Finish Dishwashing Detergent, including 6 double-count packages, a savings of over 80% off. Had I paid retail for them, I’d have paid at least $97 — wow!

Here’s the breakdown:

  • 4 boxes at Walgreens when they were FREE a few weeks ago
  • 6 double-count boxes at Discount Drug Mart for $0.49 ea.
  • 12 boxes today at Kroger for $5.88 with the Mega Sale

The Kroger Mega Sale is good through at least next Sunday, so get out there and stock up!

WOW! I am impressed! I have a couple of the $2.50 coupons to use, but I missed chances to score great prices earlier in the month. I am definitely going to use them this week before they expire, but I won’t get anything close to what you scored!! Congrats!

I was wondering what the shelf life was on several products?? Shampoo, conditioner, laundry detergent, lotions, and fabric softner. Is there anywhere to find out this info? I didn’t rotate some of my fabric softners and they seemed to separate. Eventually some of my lotions got runny too… Maybe because they were a cheaper brand.

    Thanks

We don’t have Kroger or Discount Drug Mart here in New York. My stockpile from last year is coming very close to an end and I need to use those $2.50 Coupons. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have about 25 boxes between this coupon and the one from last summer. I know that these qs only come out twice a year, so I have to buy enough to last that long (or longer).

The problem with the coupons that came in our inserts (Richmond Va) was that there were two coupons to “choose” from. Either the small counts for $1.00 or medium counts for $2.50 off. You couldnt use both coupons because it was those that they stick together and when you seperate you ruin one.

I get multiple inserts, so was stuck with these really ick coupons. And since I spend $ on the inserts I cant justify spending more on different coupons. Soooo, medium sizes here (32 count) are almost $5, and small (20 and lower) are $3.69. Definitely no good deals on them for me this time.

Well, I just returned from Target and they did not have any on clearance. I ended up paying $1.75/box. That was still a decent price considering the normal price. Also, I don’t rem. who was asking about the exp. date, but yes, mine were due to expire on the 31st.

Does anyone know what these cost at Walmart? I have 25 coupons to use so I want to get the most bang for my buck. We don’t have Kroger here…so I need to find somehwere other than there to get them. THanks!

I didnt get them in my insert (I’m in PA) but I did order 20 on ebay. My target has specific scents “on clearance” at Target for $3.64 for a 20 count (the cheapest I can find)

Dollar general has a 12 count for $3.00. Can the $2.50/1 be used on the small counts?

Kristin, I thought the coupon said ANY size. I bought the 20 ct box.
What part of Pa are you in? I got them in mine but then I ordered some extra too.
