How to Apply Pond’s Luminous Finish BB+ Cream

I shared with you recently that I’ve been trying out new POND’S Luminous Finish BB+ Cream, and I promised an update after I’d used it for a month or so. After using it for about 5 weeks, I have to say that I’m just as pleased with it, if not more so.

If you’ve never used a BB cream, I’d love to share a few tips for applying it to get the best results:

• Start with a clean face — no need to moisturize unless you have very dry skin.
• BB creams can be a bit sticky and is more difficult to spread than foundation, so I recommend applying in sections. I typically start with each cheek, under and above each eye, then my forehead, and finally my chin and nose. Be sure to blend each area together well.
• If you have areas that need a little extra coverage, go back and apply a little more of the BB cream to these areas. I usually need a little extra to cover redness around my nose and under my eyes.
• Powder isn’t necessary, but if you prefer a little more matte finish, apply a loose powder after you’ve let the BB cream set for about two minutes.

After following these steps, you can continue to apply the rest of your makeup as usual. Added bonus — I’ve found that the BB cream is actually great at giving my eyeshadow some extra staying power!
