Go Green with Kroger Giveaway: $25 Gift Cards

Win a $25 Kroger Gift CardLooking for another green freebie? Well, look no further. Kroger wants to give you a reusable shopping bag just for entering their reusable shopping bag contest. All you have to do is design your own reusable shopping tote, and they’ll credit your Kroger card for the cost of one of their bags.

Even better? When you submit your design, others will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite design. Great prizes will be awarded to the top 10 bag designs, with one lucky designer winning a $1,000 Kroger gift card and the chance for their bag design to be sold in stores. Judges will also select four finalists who will receive $250 Kroger gift cards and five runners-up who will receive $100 Kroger gift cards!

How’s that for an incentive to go green? And yes, that’s my not-so-creative bag pictured above.

    I can’t remember to take them into the store with me. When I do remember it is at the stores that give $.05 credits for it, so for me at least, incentives help a lot.

    I forget them, its one more thing to carry in with me (as if my monkey’s aren’t enough), they cost money paper and plastic ones are free (at least for now) : )

    I used to forget them all the time! But now my bag of bags goes right back into my car after I’ve put the groceries way. I keep them on the front seat/floor so I see them. I love that Kroger and HyVee give a 5 cent credit for each bag I bring in. Every little bit helps!!

    i subscribe AND the biggest barrier is FORGETTING the bags in the car —- however — those stores that offer a stipend (local ellwoods and ukrops give $.05 off ber provided bag) are MUCH easier to remember — or make that trip BACK to the car!

    I subscribe to this awesome blog already… My biggest problem in using reusable bags is that I don’t have enough. I shop for a family of 6 people and I always seem to need more bags than I have for groceries! It was much easier to use them before I had so many people to shop for.

    I love using my reusable bags but in England they give you a discount to use your bags. I really think that would be a great thing to start doing over here in the states.

    I subscribe to your email, and see all the giveaways that you do and it states to leave a comment or subscribe, but I never know where to go to do that. Where is the link that allows you to leave a comment for that particular giveaway. I was looking at the 25.00 kroger card one and do not seem to know where to go to find this to leave a comment. And I was just wondering how to do get all these giveaways from companys or business? Just interested in how you do that. Live in the dallas texas area. thanks

    My biggest barrier is remembering to take them in to the stores. Sometimes I even remember to take them in but then get so occupied with my coupons that I forget to give them to the bagger to use. They are much easier to lug around if I would just remember to use them!

    Most reusable bags are really ugly! Others have such outrageous costs ($10-$15 each) that you do not feel much incentive to use them.

    I love using these totes, but I always leave them at home. Sometimes I remember to keep a few in my car, but not often.

    Hi,
    I designed a bag earlier this week and posted about the Kroger contest on my blog. I think it’s a great contest…got my free shopping bag from them too :D I do use the reusable totes sometimes, but will admit that I am guilty of bringing them into the house, unloading them and then forgetting them on my way out the door. I love the fold up zippered kind that fold to wallet size to be stashed in a purse. That helps, but I generally need several for a shopping trip and would have to carry a very large purse to tote them all, lol. Still, even using one helps a little, right?

    Just haven’t been able to remember to take them in the store. I have them in the back of my SUV and there they are when I’m unloading the bags of groceries out of the cart!

    I am usually in such a hurry to even find the time to shop, with my 3 kids (all 2 & under) and working full time, that I’m lucky to get to the store each week…let alone remember to take bags along! (on top of all my coupons! LOL!)
