The following review is from the Deal Seeking Mom project administrator, Mandi Ehman:
As the weather gets warmer, spring cleaning is on a lot of people’s minds and Arm & Hammer and Electrolux want to help Deal Seeking Mom readers tackle this big project with products that make cleaning easier and our homes healthier.
Arm & Hammer
We’re all familiar with the orange box of Arm & Hammer baking soda which naturally reduces household odors in refrigerators, pantries and trashcans and can be used as a natural cleaning agent, but Arm & Hammer also has a line of cleaning products that use the power of baking soda to help you tackle specific cleaning jobs around your home, including:
- Arm & Hammer Clean Shower
- Arm & Hammer Baking Soda Shaker
- Arm & Hammer Scrub Free Cleanser
- Arm & Hammer Carpet & Fabric Odor Eliminator
- Arm & Hammer Essentials Trigger Spray
- Arm & Hammer Trash Can Deodorizer
- Arm & Hammer Fabric Softener Sheets
In addition, Arm & Hammer vacuum bags and filters are allergist recommended and offer HEPA filtration, which keeps 99.97% of small particles like dust, pollen and pet dander from being re-introduced into the air. With more than 120 different styles of vacuum accessories, there are Arm & Hammer filters for nearly all brands and models of vacuum cleaners.
Electrolux
Our family has always been a huge fan of Electrolux appliances, and we recently bought our first Electrolux vacuum, the Electrolux ErgoRapido Bagless/Cordless Stick Vacuum, which we love for daily vacuuming to keep up with the crumbs and dirt that our four girls seem to create.
So when Electrolux offered us the opportunity to try the Electrolux Versatility bagless/upright model, we were excited to see if it would live up to the standard set by the stick vacuum. It’s hard for us to find a vacuum that works well on our hand-crafted custom wood floors without scratching them up, but we were hopeful this would do the trick while providing us with more cleaning power than the stick vacuum or our resident Shop Vac.
The box arrived, and my husband immediately unpacked it and began vacuuming, and it really did live up to our expectations. The innovative handle quickly releases a telescoping wand system that reaches up to 14 feet. We’ve rarely used vacuum attachments in the past because of the extra work of hooking them up or switching power to the wand, but this process is automatic in the Versatility, making it easy to quickly dust a high shelf, vacuum hair off the couch or clean up crumbs in the snack drawer.
Additionally, the Versatility vacuum offers:
- A three-stage cyclonic suction system that separates most of the dirt from the air before it reaches the filter, so the filter stays clean and the vacuum retains maximum cleaning power.
- A bottom-empty dust cup to make emptying it easy.
- A HEPA filter that removes 99.97% of small particles from the air while vacuuming and includes charcoal technology to absorb and eliminate odors.
- Quick and easy switching from hard floor to carpet mode, making it easy to vacuum your entire home.

Spring cleaning at our house usually involves large piles of items to be trashed or donated! With 4 kids things rotate often. Then, once we’ve cleared away the clutter we can attack the “winter buildup” with the Arm & Hammer cleaning supplies. I love the carpet freshener and the clean shower. I also love the refillable cleaner that can be used everywhere! The whole project can be fun, especially if we get the whole family involved!

I dont like dusting and washing windows.

My spring cleaning job I hate the most is cleaning out the closets! With two toddlers, everything is outgrown and put into a tote for the yard sale. It breaks my heart to see some of the things they never got to wear. also, there is invariably some “mystery item” hiding in the closet that the kids put there a season before. Like the ever elusive sippy cup from October.

i’ve been spring cleaning around my house, and it looks like a mess! ha! i always end up needing to reorganize to better store all my stockpiles of items i’ve acquired in my coupon adventures. this time of year is when all the canned goods end up on the living room floor, and i’m crawling and climbing around my pantry like a crazy monkey. but, eventually a system is discovered, everything has a home, and it’s much easier to maintain the cleaning after!

Spring cleaning is done at my house all year long. Every couple of months I clean from top to bottom and go through the kids rooms so I can slowly take out old toys/clothes and they hardly notice. Living in Florida and having nice weather all year long allows this to be an all year thing.

Well, luckily – spring cleaning this year coincides with my “nesting” stage of pregnancy! lol! Last week I washed all our sheets, towels, and rugs…wiped down counters and floor boards…vacuumed and mopped. I still need to give the showers and toilets a good scrub but that’s my least favorite cleaning task so I’m going to push that off for a little longer!
