Giveaway: Avery Dennison School Supplies & Box Tops for Education

Now that school’s back in session, the focus has shifted to helping our schools raise money to afford new supplies, equipment and programs to provide better education for our kids! This year, Avery Dennison has partnered with Box Tops for Education, and Avery school supplies now include coupons to clip and turn in to your school to be redeemed for cash.

Avery Dennison sent me this great gift basket of products so I can share my thoughts on them, plus I get to give the same basket away to one of my readers! I wish I could say I’m an organized person, but I subscribe more to the organized chaos theory. However, products like these inspire me to file things away in a more orderly manner. I enjoyed sorting and filing and labeling my papers with Avery’s easy-to-use systems. Now if only I could keep them that way!

And who could resist the handy tote it was all packaged in? I have baskets and totes like these all over the house to corral all of our stuff. We have far more “stuff” than we actually need, but that’s a project best tackled when I give these crutches the boot. Anyone want to help?

    I collect box tops for the local elementary school, even though my kids are now in middle school. It gives us a chance to go back and visit.

    I also am a volunteer officer for a school board committee that oversees the facilities management of that school. I’ve also been active in the reading program as a volunteer.

    I have 3 kids ranging in age from 13 to 18. I have voluneered and served on the executive boards of all my childrens school PTAs since my oldest was in kindergarten. It has given me years of precious memories of time spent with and for my children! I also was a room mom for all of them when they were small and that experience is also precious to me!!

    I love to help out in the classroom during special holiday events, and I also help at home with material preparation since it is hard to help out as often as I would like in the classroom with my hands full at home with a 20 month old as well.     I am so involved at my kids’ schools by helping with holiday parties,fund raisers,chours,track,chess club and the Spring Carnival. My favorite thing I love to do is the holiday parties and the Spring Carnival.

    I am the classroom mom for my son’s class, so I organize all the parties and keep the other parent’s informed of what going on in the class. I also make a class website each year that has class photos, homework helpers, class calendars, and much more. Lastly, I am the yearbook rep for the whole school, so that in itself keeps me busy and volunteering from October until March.

    Love being the Mystery reader at my son’s school. The teacher gives them clues as to who is coming and they have to guess who it might be. Then the mystery reader comes into the classroom to read the class a book.
