Now that school’s back in session, the focus has shifted to helping our schools raise money to afford new supplies, equipment and programs to provide better education for our kids! This year, Avery Dennison has partnered with Box Tops for Education, and Avery school supplies now include coupons to clip and turn in to your school to be redeemed for cash.
Avery Dennison sent me this great gift basket of products so I can share my thoughts on them, plus I get to give the same basket away to one of my readers! I wish I could say I’m an organized person, but I subscribe more to the organized chaos theory. However, products like these inspire me to file things away in a more orderly manner. I enjoyed sorting and filing and labeling my papers with Avery’s easy-to-use systems. Now if only I could keep them that way!
And who could resist the handy tote it was all packaged in? I have baskets and totes like these all over the house to corral all of our stuff. We have far more “stuff” than we actually need, but that’s a project best tackled when I give these crutches the boot. Anyone want to help?
One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a back-to-school prize package (worth over $50!) full of Avery Dennison school and office supplies, including: Hi-Liters, labels, GlueStics, binders, dividers, sheet protectors, Marks-a-Lot permanent markers, and t-shirt transfers!

Dear Tara, I am a mom of three and we home educate our children here in Las Vegas. So….I am involved in every aspect of their education. I help them choose their focus for the semester, prepare daily schedules, purchase books & materials, help them choose & sign up for sports and community activities. We are always watching the dollar so any extra help we can get we are grateful for! Thanks for your great money saving site. I use it all the time!

I am trying all the time to create new ways to educate children. I am a nanny and help raise 3 boys varying in ages from 2-9. I also have a 3 nephews and 1 niece who come stay with my Husband and I on the Air Force Base for the summer. Any new ideas and materials we could use to further their ever-expanding minds is so helpful!

I volunteer in the classroom 1 hour every other week (sharing with another mom with a little one).

Hi! I am very active in my child’s education. Sadly, when he moves onto a new class, I have trouble leaving his “old” teacher! He is now in the fifth grade and I still spend time volunteering in his second grade teacher’s classroom! His school closed when he finished third grade, and the teachers went to various schools in our district. I don’t know what I would do if they were all in one school! I have loved being involved in each of their classrooms. I am a teacher “wanna be”, so often times I am permitted to teach a special lesson. I adore Social Studies and Language Arts. It is so wonderful to see the children I have helped master new skills, and my son loves knowing that I am at his school even if I am not in his classroom.

As a mother of four children who go to five different schools I can’t be everywhere. I have one in high school, one in jr high, on in elementary and one in prek and headstart. So to stay involved (thanks to couponing) I clip boxtops, provide salt from my food storage for home made playdough, volunteer in the lunch room occasionally and speak in careers on how I do jobs from home. And I’m obsessively organized and I’m drooling over this basket.

i do not have kids yet, but i’m involved in my church’s children ministry. I teach in children worship, mostly with the group of children in between 2-6. I often give out school supply, treats to the kids and to the church for future use. I am very happy when I see them happy!

i get involved with kids through christmas shoebox. This is an effort to give out gifts to children in other poor countries. We make our own shoebox, wrap them with gifts, toys, school supply, personal care items such as toothbrush/toothpaste, etc. It’s nice to share what God has give us with other kids.
